It was well worth the bumpy ride out in a 4x4 to climb the dunes and have a mint tea!

This place is off the charts,... whoever rated it "poor" is clearly confusing it with somewhere else of a similar name. Finally Morocco can boast a luxury safari style camp in a league with Kenya's best. Beautiful tents appear like a mirage amidst the dunes, chilled wine is waiting for you at sunset on arrival, food delicious and service effortlessly... More

My husband and I hired Zbar Travel to take us into the desert from Ouarzazate. Ahmed, our guide, was extremely knowledgeable and professional - making certain that we were well cared for the entire time. We rode camel back to the first camp - a rustic Berber set up - and enjoyed the cultural exchange with the young guides there.... More

Went with the company "Coeur du Sahara" which is right by the roundabout in the center of new M'hamid. It was definitely worth the trip. About 2hrs in 4x4 to the dunes, then tangine by the fire with songs and music. Camel ride around the dune in the morning. Highly recommended.

I recently traveled to M'hamid with my brother and some friends. We had no bookings in advance and no plans other than seeing the Sahara. We ended up using the services of Larbi Elbid and had a fantastic overnight stay deep in the desert. There was safe parking for our rented car provided in M'hamid, after which we got into... More

Morocco's highest sanddunes, enjoy a desert sunset and give sandboarding a try! I really enjoyed Zbar travel's camp here: you are made to feel welcome the Saharoui-way. Good food, knowledgeable guides and clean accomodations (toilets!) with just the right amount of luxury to relax as a western tourist.... And the number of stars at night is just incredible...! Bring your... More

If you only have a few days in Morocco, I would book a tour with El Ammari brothers, Bachir and Mokhtar, arranging tailormade tours according to your wishes. No matter what idea you come up with, these guys arrrange everything in a best possible way. We were on tour for 4 days and did experience the beautiful south and desert... More

For those who head to south Morocco, make sure you go the whole way to the end of the paved road at M'Hamid, then a little further to the dunes of Erg Chigaga. Whether by camel trek from M'hamid (highly recommended for the more adventurous), or by 4WD, it is a magical place where you will be spellbound by the... More
