I went on a trail ride on the very last day of the season in the fall. The fall colours were absolutely amazing and our guide took us as close as we could get to the elk herds which were in full rutting season. Magical.

Background This Fall I was privileged to enjoy a “bucket-list” experience thanks to my family and my bucket-list gift was delivered “in spades” by the Nelson Family of Mountain Meadows Trail Rides. I participated in the Mountain Meadows Fall Cattle Drive. This event was incorporated into the Pole Haven Community Pasture fall round-up, a community-wide activity in which the Nelson... More

We arrived at the historic Nelson Ranch on September 21 to take part in an event that has been ongoing for generations, the Annual Fall Round-Up in Mountain View. This event kicked off with the horses being assigned to the riders and Dan Nelson outlaying the tasks that lay ahead in carrying out the round-up. It was then off to... More

If you are not a woos and are looking for true adventure, fun, full contact with nature complete with views I high recommend the overnight ride with the camp out. What made this so different was that I was constantly impressed at every turn of events and with the quality of service. Started with wonderful people and fully qualified staff.... More

I was told that we would have great guides - first thing not delivered. The horse for my 9 year old niece was a good size for her but not well trained... More

This is the second time we have been to Mountain Meadow Trail Rides. First time was just as good, though we did the longer ride with the steak lunch midway on the trail. This time we did the 90 minute ride. Being spring, the weather was perfect and the mountain meadow flowers were blooming, the air fresh and the scenery... More

We really enjoyed our ride and were lucky with beautiful weather and well behaved horses. After leaving the gravel road we entered fantastic countryside and ended up in a woodland base where we had a 'cookout'. Thank you Terri,Dan and our helpful wrangler John for a great experience.

I cannot recommend Mountain Meadow Trail Rides for a number of reasons. We are a family of five, children 18,16 and 11 and were looking for an experience that was near the mountains, that was not a "nose to rear-end" trail ride and allow our family something with beautiful views and a more western feel. We have been on approximately... More
