An informative trip led by the knowledgeable David Mair The Balvenie "Ambassador of the Distillery". The working floor maltings were particularly interesting, as was the whole process with the tour finishing with a tutored tasting around a round table where i learned much.

As this is one of the few remaining distilleries that does every thing manually, one leans more about the wonderful whisky, it's origin and folklore because your imagination does not have to travel far. We loved the hospitality made possible by a fine staff and the small group setting.
