Loved the food and service. The sand and water. Only down side, lil shade and no restrooms. But its nature!

Great beach...you can set up either close to all the restaurant vendors or go a little down the beach. Not 100% touristy...lots of locals enjoying the sun too. Ask for Wilson from restaurant #8 to serve lots of Presidente's as well as fresh seafood

it is very dangerous for swimmers!!! it is very pretty, there is a golf court near the beach with an incredible view. The area does not have many interesting places near to go at night.

Amazingly beautiful beach, it's so gorgeous you can insert it into a frame. If you get there order a table and pinacolada. They make it in a real pineapple. The taste is REAL. Try their food. Seafood is fresh, chicken is delicious. Prices are acceptable. If you travel on the north shore don't miss it, it worth to stop!

Close to Caliente. Miles of sand, though beach is initially steep into the water. Surf can be too tough for wading. Beach is undeveloped and deserted before noon; when we got 100 yards past the informal parking area (with chair rental, etc.) and there were NO other people on the beach. Locals tend to go in the afternoon, after they... More

A great way to spend the day! Beach loungers for rent, fresh tropical cocktails with really good rum such as Coco y Locos and Pina Coladas. Sometimes the surf is really impressive and the surfers come out. There is plenty of shade from the Sea Grapes, Coconut Palms and Almond trees that line the coast. A must visit if you... More

Along with the soft, powder-like sand, Playa Grande is lined with tall coconut palms and bordered on each side by rugged coral formations and cliffs. The big waves this area enjoys makes it a popular spot for surfing and body/boogie boarding. Just behind the beach are a number of food vendors who vie to be the first to offer you... More

Just a quick update to this post. There are two "port-o-pottys" at Playa Grande. Ask any of the food kiosk managers or other employees and they'll point you in the right direction. The facilities have been there for quite some time, so no need to go in the bushes! On a separate note, if you go to Playa Grande you... More
