Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A lot of parking, easy to park trailer. Clean toilets and bbq. Various walks available. Dam very close to parking a mini downhill. We followed the platypus walk hoping to see them. We saw bubbles on the surface but sadly didn't come across them. Easy walk 1.3km, 20 minutes.

I grew up in the area and always love visiting Rocky Crk when I'm home. Make sure you wear long socks, as leeches are very common on the walk!
Great to see an upgraded carpark and well maintained paths.

We chose to do the dam wall and spillage walk, the walk down to the spillage was blocked off waiting for repairs which was a shame because I would have loved photos of the water spilling over the rocks. Apart from that though this is a great spot for walking tracks for all ages, there is a play ground for young children, BBQ's and decent toilets. A great spot to take a picnic too and enjoy the scenery.

The dam is really Lismore’s water supply. The outlook is lovely. The grounds are also lovely. We did the platypus walk which we enjoyed.

Beautiful spot to take family or friends or even just take yourself for a nice walk. There are a few different treks to do. There is a nab area and park also.

We did the Platypus Walk with 2 kids (aged 4 and 1) and its a very easy walk to do with kids this age. Don't be afraid of the drop on the dam wall - it looks worse than what it actually is. Can easily take a pram/pushchair on this walk with no issue at all.
Beautiful walk in a well maintained park - I just wish we were able to spot a platypus but more of a reason to come back!

Really enjoyed the walk around the place, very scenic. Shame there is no swimming or canoeing allowed. Barbeque was clean, had a great day out. Bumped into a rous water worker, he was very friendly. Definitely recommend you go there to relax.
Saw the nimbin bus pull up there, many joints were smoked as people relaxed, very 😎 cool

A large area with plenty of room for everyone. Parking was a little tight on the day we visited as there was a wedding going on. BBQ and picnic areas were still available on the Saturday afternoon we visited.

Super pretty location, not far from Lismore. Dog friendly which is great, we are planning another picnic here as it is gorgeous.

Fantastic family picnic and barbecue place. The platypus walk takes you along Rocky creek, is beautiful and not too far. For anyone with a bit of fitness take a walk across the dam wall and follow the track into the Big scrub remenent. Beautiful big trees that are worth a look.
The whole site used to be grazing paddocks and are now restored back to rainforest. Rous County Council bush regenerators have created a showpiece displaying what can be achieved. If you own land and like the idea of revegetating come and have a look what many North Coast landholders are actually replicating.
Rocky creek dam site was revegetated by taking out the weeds and allowing the seedlings to grow without too much replanting. The proximity to the big scrub meant the seed source was close enough to do it itself.
The planning of walking tracks and grassed areas around the backdrop of Rocky creek dam makes this reveg site a great place to get inspired.
