Have been visiting the Cider Press for over 12 years about 3/4 times a year. It used to be a good attraction, particularly if you wanted to buy some good seconds in wine glasses. Since the shop has now been reduced in size and replaced with what is more a gallery (an interesting one) with some outrageous prices, the attraction... More

We have been goint to this place for 20+ years but it has it has lost it's sparkle. We usually go so we can enjoy the Cranks Restaurant but you cannot find it. Why hide the jewel? Yes the shop assistants never smile...they do in Cranks!

Shops! but good for a stroll around. We drove but it did look like you could have walked from the hotel. Didn't use the cafes.

Great food, especially at the Venus Cafe, although it is s bit pricey. Shops cater for quite a niche market. Lovely setting but some of the most miserable shop assistants ever encountered. Spoilt the visit actually.

I haven't visited for about 12 months and thought it was about time I visited the recently opened Venus Cafe. They have an excellent reputation for local food and drink. After I looked at the menu behind the counter, I opted for 'Devon's best burger' and a local luscombes lemonade. I was expecting the lemonade to arrive in it's usual... More

I used to regularily visit The Cider Press Centre for lunch and an afternoon shop. Sadly one of the restaurants is now run by the Venus Restaurant group, the quality of which can only be described as the equivalent of a Wacky Warehouse fast food outlet (nuggets and fries etc.) but double the price. The second restaurant Cranks is a... More

If you want to kill a couple of hours in the Totnes area then the Cider Press is well worth a visit, the Centre has many different aspects to view, parking can be a little bit difficult in busy mid-day periods but there is allways space higher up the site as an overflow carpark is avaiable but please note that...
