Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I did a two week Mentor Plus trip to Colombia - my first time in South America. I was a bit nervous about it actually. The trip was fantastic.

All of the Colombians were amazingly friendly. The weather was good - we flew every day except one. We had to land early a couple times because rain was approaching, but I was ready for a break anyway.

The main hotel was very nice. On a short "side trip" the hotel was more like camping, but that was fun too. It had good food, was clean, safe and friendly, just no A/C, pool, etc. And it was worth the drive to fly in a new and amazing place.

Transportation and logistics were very well handled. Thank you to Edward and the driver. We had a nice bus just big enough to get us everywhere we needed to go and stocked with an ice chest full of cold drinks for when we landed. I landed "out" a couple times during the trip - did my very first cross country flying! Landed, dropped a pin with my location, and after a short wait - the bus arrived and picked me up. Clean and simple.

Guiding was done by Fred, Dylan, Juan Fe and Rob. It was JUST RIGHT. All four are amazing pilots. Many instructors just tend to talk your ear off. Not this group. They treated me like an intelligent and capable adult. The advice they had was always valuable and brief. If I was doing something stupid, they do have a direct way of saying so, which also tends to be funny. There was plenty of encouragement. When I made some progression in my flying I enjoyed some sincere acknowledgement.

The off time was great. In the rare times that we couldn't fly because of weather, some other activity was always created. Dinners together and exploring local areas were great fun.

I will go again.

This was my second time at FlySpain and have just completed the paramotor conversion course having done the EP&CP paragliding course back in June last year. All the courses have been excellent, the instruction has been first rate and the accommodation was superb. Well done to all involved. The weather wasn’t always favorable but not much anyone can do about that, other than that everything is highly recommended.

Just completed the Zero to Hero paramotoring course January 7-20th 2024 , absolute awesome course Great instructor’s Dave & Paolo absolute Legends , The eagles nest is ace great down town for beers and scran . Within 4 days I’ve gone from zero to flying a paramotor and as time has gone on the more confident I have got . I’ve had at least 10 flights during the course with different manoeuvres etc . I’m away home now to build my experience with a group of lads in Scotland nearby where I stay . I highly recommend this course ! 🪂 🇬🇧

Completed the mentor plus course, as my first flying experience outside the UK and with only about 5 hours airtime. Flew every day of the course, a great experience, with great accommodation, great flying sites and great guiding. Really improved my confidence, especially the great tandem thermaling flight with Palo. I will be back.

It's tempting to wax lyrical about an 'awesome experience' when describing the thrill of paragliding - but there’s so much more to pilot development - as FlySpain demonstrate so well. The first thing you notice about FlySpain – before you go anywhere near a glider - is every single member of the FlySpain team cares ... and I mean really cares. From first contact, through help with travel logistics, a warm welcome at the airport and transport to their impeccable accommodation. Everything is carefully considered and seamless. Then comes the critical bit once you arrive on the hill and are connected to your glider. This consummate care translates to your safety. Your physical safety; and just as importantly, if you are a novice pilot like me, your psychological safety. You will be well briefed, encouraged and supported. You will be pushed to your boundaries but never beyond them. This was never clearer than on a series of particularly thermic and windy days on a Club Pilot course. I witnessed other schools pushing and struggling to get novice pilots off the hill, into conditions that only served to undermine their confidence and induce fear. While we were encouraged by Fred and Paulo to sit, observe and learn while we waited for our ‘perfect moment’. Many experienced pilots took off and struggled with demanding and quite difficult conditions, while many pilots of our experience left the hill in trepidation by van. Yet the wisdom and experience of Fred and Paulo had us taking off at our ‘perfect moment’ and we were completely confident that their judgment was sound and we were safe. Anxious? Of course! This was new territory for all of us. But afraid? No! On the contrary we were encouraged, reassured and excited to take on the challenge. The result? We spent more than an hour soaring in perfect conditions while other pilots of our level had either left the hill by van or taken off and headed straight the landing field to get out of the air as soon as possible. This is the stand-out quality you will get with FlySpain. Professional, experienced and seasoned instructors dedicated to your safe, solid progress as a pilot.

I did both the EP and CP courses with FlySpain and I can’t recommend them highly enough - extremely high quality instruction from Rob, Fred, Paolo and Jeroen.

Paragliding has always seemed quite a hard sport to take the first steps in but FlySpain made it easy. Can’t wait to come back! Thank you!

Best place to learn to fly! I’ve tried schools in the UK which were good, but this place is on another level - tuition was engaging, fun and most importantly - very fruitful! I’ve got my first high flight by the middle of first week of EP course. Same thing in the UK would take me months to get to. Jeroen and Rob were super helpful, always ready to answer my questions and confidence inspiring(also never pushy or frustrated even if you land the school glider on a leading edge 😃)

The stay was flawless as well - the place is super nice, has a pool and BBQ was organised by the end of the first week! Really happy with the trip and looking forward for my CP course week in January!
