We had a good day out but were badly let down by spending £20 to sponsor a horse, and did not receive the sponsorship pack as we were promised despite telephone calls and letters. Do not fall for this !!! more

I took my eight year old nephew to the Heavy Horse Centre and he hasn't stopped begging me to take him back. He got to feed all of the horses, ride a tractor, play on go-karts, play in the hay barn, play with lots of different animals, go on a gypsy caravan and lots more! The owners of the park... more

the dorset heavy horse centre is an amazing farm park with activities for all ages! The staff are friendly and helpful, the animals gentle and in excellent condition there is so much to do in one day! The cafe has excellent service and the gift shop lovely things to buy. I've just been to the Dorset Heavy Horse Centre at Verwood with my three children and had a wonderful time. The staff were brilliant and very good with the children. You couldn't hope to see more of an improvement under new ownership than you will here! The new owners seem to genuinely care about their animals, and their enthusiasm makes the visit extra special. They can't do enough to make you feel welcome. We now have season tickets! more

If you ask my children this was the best day of the holiday. They loved all the animals, go-carts, trampolins etc. Also they got the chance to steer a wagon. Well what an improvement!! The new owners are doing a wonderful job in turning this place around. The horses look healthy and happy, as do all the other animals. Since the new owner took over it seems there's been a dramatic improvement. Only one horse showed after-effects from the previous ownership. There are also rabits, donkeys, llamas, guinea pigs, goats, geese, hens & ducks to see. And if the kids get quickly bored with animals, there are trampolines, pedal tractors for little ones, and pedal go-karts for older kids.... more
