I lovely day out for the family. Plenty of interactive activities to do and loads of facts to learn. The steam train is great for he kids. Food a little pricey if brought off premises.

We went because the weather was unpredictable and Snibston is inside as much as it's outside. We went with small children who had a wonderful time. Lots of interactive things to touch, operate and build. Great play area for toddlers. Tunnels for older kids to crawl through were really popular. Outside there was a large playground but the equipment were... More

Amazing place for children. They get so involved in the interactive part of this place. Took my gt nephews and they did not want to come away. My favourite part was the colliery tour when you find out what it was like for the miners down the pits.

Great tours of the site's history - the former miners who have been enlisted to share their stories are fantastic. Then there's the interactive exhibits for kids - not just about mining but all forms of energy and the outdoor water play for kids of all ages. Great sculptures around the country park too.

One of the best firework events we've ever been to - loads to see and do and lots of entertainment laid on. The fireworks themselves were spectacular! The kids enjoyed looking round the museum before it all started. Very well organised.

My eight year old son says "It was awesome, it was really exciting and there was lots of things to do. The outside park is such fun - you can learn all about water wheels, water locks. You can learn a lot about how things move and the seesaws are all different and it is good to try the different... More
