I was injured during a visit to Romania last fall (my own fault), but as we drove back to Bucharest from Maramures, I asked my guide to stop here. The church built by Neagoe Basarab (King of Muntenia 1512-1521) is the most valuable religious art and architecture building in Arges area. Now is recently renovated.
Also called the Episcopal Church, it houses the tomb of the first King of Romania Carol I.
It’s architecture is unique, a must see. The 12 interior columns, supporting a dome in the middle...
