A great place for novice Kayaks as you paddle along the lagoon and into its tributaries. It's a birdwatchers paradise. We are so glad that we took the extra time to head down to Okarito. The Lagoon (beside the ocean) was lovely and peaceful, and the boat was the perfect way to see it.
