What travellers are saying
- CalmjohnLeavenworth, KS6,195 contributionsThis beach is very walkable and several miles long. At high tide some places require you to wade in the water, but at low tide you can 'stay dry or wet'. I usually stay close to the 'middle' of the beach and must decide each time that I walk if I want to go north or south. Just over a mile from where I stay is the great little town of Bucerias. Bucerias has some very good restaurants and shopping but that is another story
Walking south you must walk for at least a couple of miles or so the teach the Nuevo Nayarit shopping area. If you enjoy your walk for that distance it will be time for a good rest and perhaps a bus ride back.
What ever I am sure that you will enjoy the sand and the ocean and may mmet some ocean life that has washed up.
The views are splendid.Written 15 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The highlight was the dolphin experience with trainer Mini and dolphins Columbus and Audrey. Mini was full of facts and information regarding the dolphins and swimming and touching the dolphins was really fun. I believe the photographer was Emmanuel, who too really great shots which look fantastic.
The water slides and food need some attention but the overall experience was definitely a good value and worth the visitWritten 15 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Mike PowellOceanside, CA7 contributionsThis is an upgraded version of the regular Mexican tourist market place..Higher prices but better merchandise. One of a kind artistry, jewelry, t-shirts etc..Some like the food, but seems pricey for a carnival type atmosphere..Is a good diversion from the normal tourist marketing. Worth the visit..Written 21 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- krosen1142Toronto, Canada93 contributionsBest grocery shopping in Nuevo Vallarta. Expect many of the same brands as home, plus delicious bakery, fresh fish and meat. Prices are the same as Canada.Written 4 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Jim M1 contributionDolphin swim was excellent. Would do it again, and I don’t do touristy stuff. We were the only non-Hispanics there so it was good to get out of the bubble. My 4&7 year old loved the place
Maintenance was very poor. Most importantly I rode the tube down the pink slide. I was allowed by attendant. You go very very fast. At the bottom, the pool is so short I was EJECTED from the pool. Somehow I was unhurt but it could’ve been catastrophic on vacation. I did ride it without a tube and you go much slower. In the US the ride would be condemned. I asked if people got hurt and they said sometimes.Written 25 November 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Lunch at the beach was good enough for a hambre guy. The trip back to Puerto Vallarta was even more fun, as the boat crew ramped up the entertainment.Written 22 February 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Kathy R2 contributionsHappy 50th Anniversary, Vidanta! We have been coming half of this lifetime and it only gets better. It evolves! It's a kick to see multiple generations of families happily recreating together with new experiences and excellence! A Gen 1 mom (of 4 gens traveling together!) said, "I want my family to remember me laughing and having fun with them and not a major memory of me cooking and cleaning in the kitchen!"
We tried the new Deluxxe building on the beach with it's world class views. Our activities revolved around the beach and the beach attractions with just a hop and a skip. We spent more time walking the beach, reading under a palapa, bobbing down the lazy river, checking out the fire show and Salum nightly when it was so close.
Special thanks to Concierge Ricardo Perez-Lopez and Bellman Antonio Lopez, our Deluxxe guys who kept us informed and involved. They kept an eye that all things worked well. No hassles, no stress with these guys buzzing in the background. Your friendly care is appreciated.

The breeze was wonderful.Written 18 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
