Old-world rainforest, pristine and primitive, needs to be experienced on a guided interpreted tour with a local expert to fully appreciate its rarity and complexity. At this time we have 14 different wines for tasting. Features of the wines include all but one having won medals ranging from Gold to Bronze, awarded by Grape Wine Judges. Non of the wines are the usual fruit wine sweet and sticky styles. We recognise that most people these days prefer dry wines so that's what we make. We are open from 10am to 4.30pm every day and all you have to do is drive in and enjoy yourself. Our wine consultant is also an occasional grape wine judge and we have to maintain his standards or we lose him. We are both retired - me a Physiotherapist and Trudie a Social Worker and Trudie is the wine maker. Because we are retired we don't have to make vast quantities of wine so we can concentrate on quality. Please join us when you are staying in the Cairns / Port Douglas region for something very special. « less
