- Fodera6 contributionsLoved strolling marginal way, such a refreshing iconic place to view the ocean and enjoy the sunshine on your face, all the while getting some exercise in, highly recommend!Written 12 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - jenzeroEast Haven, CT7 contributionsAcadia National Park is beautiful! Drive the loop and make all the stops along the way. We got tickets to go up the mountain at sunrise. It was cloudy but we still got a beautiful view.Written 13 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- John GHartsdale, NY33 contributionsThis is the most photographed lighthouse in America for a reason. It sits on o rocky outcropping and can be viewed from land on three sides. There is ample (paid but reasonable) parking. The are easy trails to follow along the shore and you can climb out onto the rocks for a better view if you are feeling adventurous. Overall just a beautiful peaceful place!Written 6 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Stephanie JEast Burke, VT38 contributionsWe just had a completely magical experience at the gardens a glow show at the Maine Botanical Gardens. I can't even begin to explain how beautiful it was even though it was raining. The dedication that goes into setting up all the light displays truly is a thing of inspiration. It was myself a 61-year-old woman along with my two grandchildren ages 11 and 8 and we all had an amazing time. Every corner has a new little Adventure, the trolls were amazing there were snacks along the way and places to sit and rest if you needed to. I would highly recommend it. There are also Wheelchairs and scooters available for those who might need it although there are a couple of locations you couldn't get to in them, but by and large you can see the whole thingWritten 30 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Aya Levy3 contributionsAcadia National Park left me breathless in more ways than one. From the stunning coastal views along Park Loop Road to the challenging yet rewarding hike up Cadillac Mountain, every moment felt like a postcard-worthy adventure. The variety of landscapes, from lush forests to rocky shores, kept the scenery constantly changing. Jordan Pond's serene beauty and the iconic Bass Harbor Head Lighthouse were personal highlights. The park isn't just a feast for the eyes; the crisp mountain air and the scent of pine trees made it a sensory delight. It's not just a national park; it's a haven for anyone seeking a perfect blend of outdoor exploration and soul-soothing tranquility. If you're in Maine and have an ounce of love for the great outdoors, Acadia is an absolute must-explore.Written 5 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Marcia MRI9 contributionsCamped at Hadley’s campground in our class C RV. Had shuttle service into Bar Harbor. We rented e-bikes and did the carriage roads. First time using e-bikes and was definitely fun! Love Bar Harbor with all the shops and food. Did the hike along the ocean and was nice. More like a stroll than a hike but that was good. Ate lobster dinners twice. C-Rays lobster shack was right across from the campground so walked there one night. Was worth it.Written 8 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Ginger B ROswego, NY279 contributionsThere isn't much to do here except the view, but what a view! It's not hard to park, but you walk a little bit. Then, just enjoy the sight. The lighthouse is so cute, and you get a good look at it and the coast from large, flat rocks. Great photo stop. There is ice cream across the street as well.Written 13 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- NHjoSaco, ME8,611 contributionsI always stop here when on Route One going from Saco to Portsmouth NH (except on a summer weekend, when it's just too crowded). This time it was really nice -- warm sun for mid March and several tourists, but not thousands (again, like on a summer weekend). It's no wonder that the beach is among the top ten in the country.Written 17 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - NHjoSaco, ME8,611 contributionsIt was St. Patrick's Day weekend and good weather, so there were quite a few tourists milling around. I took some nice shots of the cove, the harbor, and the Harbormaster Shack's assortment of birdhouses and other nautical paraphernalia.Written 17 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - llhtexasAustin, TX207 contributionsPerfect place to start the day and stroll along the bay. Beautiful view of Frenchman Bay and Bar Harbor Inn. Trail circle along the waterfront and back into town. - S4136XSdavidbTexas472 contributionsDon't know how you could visit Acadia Natl Park without driving on this road. Lots of things to see, well-marked. Will intersect with hiking trails and the famous "carriage" roads. The haert of the National Park.Written 6 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
