For many years, The Central Officers’ House of the Armed Forces of Ukraine remains one of the leading cultural centers in the city of Kyiv. The building in NeoEmpire style was initially built in 1914-1915 as a military flight school; later was repeatedly reconstructed up till 1931. In the early post-WWII years, when the whole city of Kyiv was in ruins, and there were practically no audience halls, The Officers’ House was used as a leading concert hall of the city. Much has changed since then in the cultural life of the capital, and many new concert halls had been built, but the tradition of The Officers’ House to held of various concerts and exhibitions are still alive. The House has a large hall for 1000 spectators, two lecture halls, a small room, library and about other 150 rooms that can be used as training and exhibition centres.
