Rob Crean and Kym-Louise Miller have over 23 years of combined experience living and working in Timor Leste, specialising in PADI diving courses, guided dives, sailing, fishing marine and island adventures. In 2010 a daily water taxi service was introduced from Dili to Atauro Island making it accessible for overnight and short stays, in one of the local guest houses, eco lodges, or The exclusive Tua Klung (Whispering Palms) Dive Safari Camp which is operated by Compass Charters in partnership with the local community and has a local employment policy that means all staff are recruited from the local area, the company has also been instrumental in developing complementary products with the local people making Tua Klung more attractive to tourists. In 2011 a 8 berth live aboard catermaran, the first live aboard to operate out of Dili, was added to fleet and offers travelers the opportunity to explore and dive more remote areas and Islands of Timor Leste and Indonesia. Compass Charters have packages to suit every travelers needs and budget. « less
