The winery/caves are enchanting, with a waterfall, doors that open magestically, a cute tasting room, and knowledgeable guides. The goat cheese, brie and nuts were a great compliment to the wines. Definitely worth a visit.Written 6 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- WakefulDreamsNew Jersey97 contributionsHighly, highly recommend a visit. They keep the groups small so you can have a more intimate experience. The vineyard is beautiful and the setup is very nice. The best part is the wine, as it should be. Overall one of my favorite experiences in Napa.Written 15 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Fairport TravelersFairport, NY704 contributionsStopped here on Friday early, around 10am, without an appt with a colleague. Sue greeted us at the entrance with a friendly hello and I said we didn't have an appt but I said their Allomi is one of my favorite go to's and could we possibly buy some wine and she said they'll always be open to selling wine. She was great! Let us taste some of their high end wine Lion Tamer and I ended up joining the wine club. Sue is a great Hess ambassador. She did give a short little mini tour too.Written 9 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Lawrence C2 contributionsGreat experience - wine and chocolate pairing. Arrived on bikes and before we were off of them we were warmly greeted and made to feel at home. Tasting space had super comfortable chairs that we could’ve spent the day in. Wines and chocolates both first-rate. Just “yum.” Our host had great energy and the perfect balance of fun interaction/ wine facts and giving us peaceful time to enjoy our company and the pairings. Not rushed; very relaxed. We’ve done dozens of Napa tastings over the last decade; this one was among our favorites. And yes, we shipped home several Cab Sauvs and bottles of a very balanced (not overly sweet) late harvest Gewurtztraminer. Thanks Baldacci for a great afternoon!Written 12 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- 1VictoriaTheTravelerSacramento, CA137 contributionsDomaine Carneros is one of my favorite spots as a Napa veteran!!! I live in Northern California and I’m fortunate to be close enough to visit Napa regularly for the last 10 plus years and we love this winery. The grounds are gorgeous, the service is excellent and the sparkling rose is worth a tasting. Also would recommend for tastings, girls trip and couples adventures. Definitely worth a visit.Written 10 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Jud BArlington, VA4 contributionsLoved the wine and atmosphere. You can order your own barrel of wine!! The winemaker made us feel right at home. - afootdrLouisville, KY31 contributionsMy youngest son moved to San Francisco recently and just had to take us here for a tasting. Who knew he would become such a connoisseur? The afternoon was very enjoyable. The venue was beautiful. Wine was delicious. The afternoon was enhanced by our guide Anne , who was pleasant, fun and so knowledgeable. Just enjoyed listening to my son and her talk wine. Had a wonderful afternoon. Would definitely do it againWritten 11 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- MtnPhotogTennessee1 contributionMy husband and I did six private winery tours in Napa over two days at the beginning of our California vacation.
We let our tour guides select all but one, Trefethen, which was recommended by a family member who lived in San Francisco for over 20 years.
Our experience at Trefethen was exceptional. They were quite busy on the Saturday in December due to a special event, but all were kind and pleasant. We were fortunate to be paired with Michael who has obvious expertise, an exceptional perspective and knowledge. We started in the vineyards and talked through what makes a good wine, best conditions for the grapes, harvesting, processing, testing, bottling, and so on. Michael was very patient with all of our questions and curiosities.
We have been on wine tours before, in many geographies, but I learned so much in the time with Michael. He was also very patient as we tried wines, and very helpful in exploring our taste preferences.
The quality and breadth of the Trefethen wines is exceptional and the care they put into every wine is impressive. Fantastic wines. Fantastic experience.

Elana was an excellent host and in fact one of the best we have had this trip in Napa, she was so knowledgeable and gave us a full history of the estate. The wines, well they are certainly up with the best Zinfandels. Tasting area is nicely furnished and plenty space between guests. This will be certainly on our revisit vineyards on our next trip.Written 10 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Joey M2 contributionsMust visit boutique winery in Napa. The barrel fermented Chardonnay and the Cabernet Sauvignon are very good and not ridiculously expensive. The views from the top of the hill show off the huge beautiful view. They also have some older vines that make the estate wines taste amazing.Written 15 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
