This 137-acre site recreates village life at the turn of the 20th century. The 24 buildings in the village include many actually from the era. The Museum features exhibitions of Rockford's major industries. The property also includes a Doll Museum and the Old Millhouse.

The Burpee Museum of Natural History is a small but interesting museum along the Riverfront in Rockford. One must see Jane, the young T-Rex, as well as other Natural History exhibits.
