This museum was well-worth a visit, even for “non-car” buffs. There are lots of old and classic cars, all very well-preserved.

Nice accommodations in the remodeled rooms. Lots of Slot machines (economics of less employees?) and few table games. Outdoor hot tub was closed but on checkout, when mentioned, was refunded the resort? fee!
Buffet was varied and everything tasty and presented well.
I’m not a casino person, the cigarette smoke was horrible.

Even in the winter, and in cold weather, this park along the river is lovely. Lots of places to make a picnic, places to sit, some performance space, and a long walk with views of downtown, the mountain, and the rushing river.

This is the place to go for gambling action in Reno. Most of the other hotel casinos are empty and boring, but this place attracts a crowd. The design is modern and fresh and the condition is excellent. They have just about all the games you might want, plus a lot of good food.

We saw this location on TripAdvisor and were very interested. We were not disappointed.
These are rescued animals that are in e collect habitats.
It is a dirt and gravel path that leads you on the side of a mountain. So wear good walking shoes as they recommend. You must get there at opening to witness the bear feeding. It is well worth it.
The staff are great as well. Very friendly and full of information. A great place to visit for sure!! Thanks everyone, this was a fantastic experience!!!!

The staff are professional. The place looks good and has all the games you might want. But where are the players? It was almost empty, sometimes not a single person at the tables. The business has migrated elsewhere and the management needs to do something to attract customers.

40 years ago, I had the worst first time ski experience where my mother threw me onto the lift without any assistance.
At 50 yrs old, my friends and son convinced me to give it another chance and I’m so happy I did!
The instructor on my first day, Rick, was incredibly patient and experienced with a group of 6. By the end of the first day, I was able to ride the “magic carpet” escalator and glide down with turns.
On the second day, I took the “next step” class, but the disparity of levels among 4 ppl made it impossible to even attempt my first lift. However, the staff was more than generous to place me in another “next step” group class in the afternoon, which there was 2 instructors to only 2 students, thus I got a private lesson from Dick. He carefully took my my fear of falling, and laid me out a “C” curve patterns to ski down the green slope as well as show me how to get off the lift without falling. He also helped me practice getting up from a fall. Both instructors were ammmazing! My 7 yr old also took ski lessons x2 days and by the end of the second day was on the “wild horse” track making small jumps.
I went from hating ski to loving ski, all thanks to the wonderful instructors.
Oh, and we loved it so much that we applied the 2 days of credit into a season pass. Yep, we are coming back next weekend!
    Tysm!!!
P.S. all instructors are older white males, but I did not feel a hint of racism or favoritism in any of the group classes.

Literally for all ages. My 14 year old stayed busy 3+ hours and well as his dad. Science, hands on, arts and crafts, puzzles. Lots to do. Great for little kids too.

I enjoyed my brief walk over the Truckee River. There were many bridges and I could even put my hand in the water. This walkway was in Downtown Reno. There were a lot of homeless people nearby but no one harassed me.

I had a free afternoon in Reno and a local recommended this museum. It has free parking right near the entrance and I had no problem finding a spot on a weekday afternoon. Upon entry I was greeted by a friendly cashier, she asked if I was a student or senior because those groups get discounted admission. I paid the full $15 and was handed a sticker to put on.
The bottom floor has a cafe, outside pieces of art, museum shop, and theater. The theater is hidden behind the stair case.

I recommend going to the fifth floor and take in the view of southern Reno. Then slowly work your way down. There were four exhibitions to review. The exhibit on the Ghost Army of World War II was very interesting, that was on the 3rd floor. There is a 1 hour documentary on the first floor that complimented the exhibit. Also on the 3rd floor is an exhibit by an amazing Native American Artist Ben Aleck. The second floor is about a mid-century artist Adeline Kent. It took about 2-3 hours to go through the exhibit but I did watch the hour long documentary.

    I recommend this art museum.

I’ve been coming to the races for years! It is one of three money making weekends for Reno. So expect hotel rates to be 3 to 4 times higher than their standard rate.

Some spectators bring their RVs and use a dedicated lot (no hookups) for a fee that is outside of the airfield. You can’t see the races from the RV lot so plan on still paying to get in.

You used to be able to pay for food and merchandise with cash or cards. Nowadays, you can only pay with a card. I believe you can still pay with cash or card for your entry ticket though.

Years ago, the entertainment was non-stop. Nowadays, there are definitely some “dead air” periods. General Admission doesn’t get you into the pit area. That’s an extra fee. After the races are done for the day, you can go in the pits with your GA ticket. There’s a fee for parking too. I also believe there are a few shuttles that run from downtown Reno or a couple casinos.

Overall, the aviation entertainment is top notch. The fastest group warbirds has dwindled over the years as it cause a lot of money to run these aircraft. At this year’s races, there was a jet racer crash. When this happens, activities end for the day. Always a good time here as long as a tragedy doesn’t happen.
