What travellers are saying
- Katie TBembridge, UK3 contributionsLovely visit of the castle, the dolls house exhibition was amazing so interesting.
Lots to see while in the castle to, grounds amazing.
One complaint we had was meant to be no photography but several people were taking pictures in the castle rooms, wardens were in rooms but didn't seem to notice this was happening!!

We spent most of our time in Peppa pig World, which was fantastic. Beautifully themed with lots of lovely rides for little ones. We ventured slightly further into the park where there were also other attractions suitable for our kids. The main two things I was impressed with about the park as a whole, was the cleanliness and the staff. The park was spotless - I never saw a single piece of litter, a dirty toilet or anything out of place. Everytime I visited a loo (and I had two toddlers, there were many occasions!) I saw a cleaner - other parks should take note! The staff in general were also so friendly, approachable and keen to help. We had bought an entry ticket online for our daughter (children under 1 metre go free and she was right on the cusp) - when we got to the park, on seeing we’d paid, the gent on entry checked her carefully with a measuring device and happily sent us over to have our ticket reimbursed for a food voucher as she was a hair’s breadth under the height. It’d have been so easy for him to pass her through and let us pay.Written 15 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - family5HertfordshireHertfordshire5 contributionsExcellent displays and clear pathways on the history of Enigma and the individuals who worked at Bletchley Park. Tough working conditions - but a model of team work with a common focus.
A much more professional display and immersive experience than when we visited last time, over 20 years ago.Written 18 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Audio guide is a must as no / not much written information as you walk around. A bit pricey but good value if you have a rail ticket as 241 entry.Written 17 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Dave WBristol, UK46 contributionsFriendly staff
Exhibits fantastic
Take two days to do it all
Plenty to see and experience and the Warrior, Victory, M33 and Mary Rose are exceptional
Man dressed as a Tudor Sailor in Mary Rose exhibition very knowlegdible and showed how one of the guns would be loaded
Food expensive so be careful
Latte and vanilla shortbreads brilliant
Shop staff all very friendly
Two lads on the M33 WW1 gunship were brilliant and very thoughtful of me and steps and there are a lot of steps but lifts are available in most placesWritten 17 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We bought the ultimate ticket which gives you access to every attraction on site, but you could get either the 3 or 1 attraction ticket as well. The Mary Rose Museum is located at the far end of Portsmouth Historic Dockyard and on this visit we were focused on this attraction. Be aware it's difficult to visit all the attractions and do them justice in one visit. Set over multiple floors the display was amazing, especially the projections onto the ship decks to illustrate in an audio and visual way how those on the ship may have lived. There is an excellent film at the start detailing the ship's history and sections detailing how the ship was raised. There is a shop and cafe which we didn't visit. There was a lift access to each level. My only complaint was the size of the labels on each encased recovered artefact and some slightly confusing numbering system on them as well.Written 17 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - MartineAWellsRichmond, UK8 contributionsVisited on a weekend break with my Mum to Boscombe looking for something new to do for Mother’s Day. The estate was so diverse with historic buildings like the Palace and ruins at the Abbey along with the surrounding estate. The Motor Museum is great with the full history of the car along with some great cars exhibits. Lives the Bus tour and Mini rail too. Can’t believe we’ve never been before. Highly recommended 🌟Written 11 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Peter JChichester, UK455 contributionsI visited as part of a pilgrimage to Canterbury Cathedral and the RC church. The building and atmosphere are amazing. There is a lot to see. We were met and talked to by a priest. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, I will try and visit again.Written 9 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. One beef - didn't mind putting my rucksack in a locker - but needing a pound coin to use it that wasn't refunded. C'mon. Nobody carries pound coins these days and charging for the lockers - no.Written 17 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
