I would 100% say it's worth the experience and to go at least once. During your time slot, you get ushered into a space where they go over some rules and fun facts before they move you into the "play pen" where you can feed and pet the Reindeer. Will I be back? Yes. Next time we will be back with our daughter when we think she'll be old enough to enjoy the experience ( she's an infant right now lol ).

This was a highlight of our trip in Leavenworth. Super fun and beautiful. We, myself and two teenage girls, booked an hour ride, but really the sleight ride itself was 20-25 minutes on and off the sleigh. Had I known this, I would have booked a longer ride. I highly recommend Leavenworth Sleigh Rides!

My wife used to go to Leavenworth when she was young...frequently. Her family had German ancestry. She had fond memories of Leavenworth, and stopping at the Squirrels Nest (restaurant) about 15-20 minutes west of the city. We stopped there and I heard stories of her experiences as a child. I had only driven through Leavenworth numerous times going to Wenatchee for business. We stayed at Mrs. Anderson's hotel in Leavenworth which has been there a long time. Small rooms, as they were then, but comfortable and within easy walking distance to the River Walk and all of downtown. Lights were going up for the winter Festival of Lights and we were able to enjoy them for the two nights we were there. Lots of places to each and lots of shops to walk through. I enjoyed it thoroughly. Summer, Fall and Winter are very different there, so pick the time that you like. Great short getaway from Seattle.

This is so lovely and there’s a lot of space even in the summer so you’re not crammed in next to people. There is a natural pool where you can swim safely which would be great for kids! Just a short walk down from the main part of Leavenworth. Parking is awful though. It is down a relatively steep hill, so you can totally get there with a wheelchair/stroller, but you’d have to park at the lot at the bottom, or have someone drop you off.

This review talks about costs, parking, the shuttle, bathrooms, and of course the play. 8-)

Costs: Excellent value to see a wonderfully acted play, "The Drowsy Chaperone," surrounded by nature with a live orchestra! For around $40, we got orchestra seats plus rented the soft cushions for $1 at the show. They definitely made the plastic seats comfortable and kept our legs from sticking to the chairs. Buy your seats early, since plays sell out.

Parking: The website recommends you arrive no later than 7:15 pm for the 8:00 pm show especially if you need to use the shuttle to drop you off closer to the stage plus the parking lots gets crowded.

We arrived for at Thursday 7:00 pm with a stop at the Leavenworth Community Farmers Market before. We got first row parking which was nice.

Shuttle: There was a line of chairs for people waiting to board the shuttle. We took the shuttle (a few steps up) a short distance up the mountain. It dropped us off at the porta potty bathrooms where it was a short uphill distance and then steps to the outside theater.

After showing your ticket, you could rent a seat cushion with $1 cash. The users showed your way to the seats.

The Play: The play was a fun, well acted with singing and a great tap dance number. The humor kept me chuckling throughout the play. The live orchestra to the right of the stage sounded wonderful. The theater has a new sound system, and everything was clear and heard at a good listening volume. I was impressed with the "The Drowsy Chaperone" stage as seen in the picture. For an outdoor theater, I thought it was great and looked forward to seeing how they handled the set changes. I have been to plays at the Kennedy Center and Broadway. I enjoyed the quality of the theater at Leavenworth and would definitely see a play again.

As it got later, the sound of the crickets singing and seeing the twinkling blanket of stars above the trees contributed to the wonderful atmosphere.

Bathroom: During the 15 minute intermission, there was time to buy drinks or a snack or walk down to the porta potties. It has been a while since I have used one, and they are small! They had toilet paper and ability to flush if you use the foot pump on the floor. There was a hand washing station with running water outside.

After the play, we walked down the hill to the car. There was a stringed lighting along the road to help light the way.

We were told this was the best in Leavenworth... Did not disappoint. Tamera was absolutely delightful. The excellent service prompted us to purchase more wine. We cannot say enough good things about our experience at Silvara Cellars! The crew from Tennessee, Texas and Florida loved spending a beautiful fall afternoon enjoying the view, wine and fellowship! Thanks and Cheers!

This is absolutely stunning! Clean bathrooms, lovely camping spots and you can rent water activity gear there! There’s a lot of people in the summer, but it’s still beautiful!

Great atmosphere, great service, good vibes all around. The beer is fantastic, with something for everyone’s taste. The water bowls are clean and the water is crisp. Icicle Brewing is more that dog-friendly, they are dog family.

It’s partially shaded, well maintained trail, and has pretty views on the way up. The summit view is the best in Leavenworth! There’s a lot of switchbacks! It was about 5 miles, over 1800ft elevation gain and took me 2.5 hrs, but I ran down a ways on the way back. My husband couldn’t make it to the top though. I would say it’s med-hard to hard. If you don’t regularly exercise (I sure don’t!), you can probably do it, but it’ll take a while and you’ll be sore the next day, but you’ll feel accomplished and see the summit views! Everyone I saw was young and/or in a good shape. There was a couple in there late 50s early 60s killing it, so don’t don’t yourself; it’s worth a try!

Perfect with young children as you can access river from beach, rocks and the bridge allows full overhead view in both directions of river and mountains. Our favorite hike around Leavenworth and rated easy so don't miss. There are outhouses, too.

I came wondering about the background of this lovely Bavarian town, and the Greater Leavenworth museum provided a wonderful perspective starting with the Native American, early settlers, key industries, why and who was behind the town becoming what it is today, its culture, and learning about the people who have had a strong influence on skiing.

Judy, the friendly, helpful docent was a pleasure to talk with and I learned even more talking with her about the town and its people. I gained a better appreciation for Leavenworth, its community, and how important tourism is for the town. Please let the docent know if you are staying in Leavenworth; it helps the museum.

There were several children interactive exhibits that looked so fun that I almost tried them.

The signs were interesting and had a large, easy-to-read font even for someone with progressive glasses.

The museum is only $5 and it located next door to the Nutcracker museum which is also very worth a visit. There are stairs and a nice elevator for the Greater Leavenworth museum. Whether you have half an hour or 1.5 hour, it is worth a visit.
