This stop is a must see if you are in the Grand Teton National Park. There was plenty of parking when we arrived late afternoon, but the lot is small and right off the road. We did not see any wildlife but the views of the lake are spectacular and there are plenty of photo opportunities. We did not see any wildlife as advertised but you are able to stop right off the road.

Starts out by the creek and then slowly climbs into the mountain. Various shallow creek crossings so have boots or cross upstream a bit.

We had a lovely morning enjoying a 2 hour trail ride. The horses are well cared for and you could easily tell how much the staff took pride in the horses and the care they provided. It was very efficient and right on time. Our guide was very nice and knowledgeable, but be advised that if you are part of a larger group (i.e. more than 7) and you are toward the end far from the guide, it will be hard to hear. In fact, our party of 3 was the last of a group of 9 and we couldn’t hear anything she was sharing about the flowers, the wildlife, etc...get toward the front.

Kendra provided our family with an exceptional outdoor experience in a most beautiful setting in the upper Yellowstone River valley. She took care of everything from coaching a beginner through 25 miles of rough riding to delicious and healthy cooking and a relaxed camp life. Could not have been better. This was a private individualized trip, highly recommended.
Hawk's Rest Camp ist well worth the strenuous 25 mile ride in and out. Consider enough days to explore the area. Swimming on a hot day is fun. Horses are very well trained and surefooted, I learned quickly how to go downhill, across logs or the river. Nice, family owned business. Excellent quality for the price.

Hidden out on Buffalo Valley Road there is food history and the lovely View. If you didn't know this Cafe was here, you wouldn't drive out Buffalo Valley Road. The ranch is one of the oldest ranches in Wyoming and the cafe is actually in one of the original buildings.

We had so much fun! My friend is knowledgeable about horses and was very impressed with the condition of the horses and the way they were cared for. Our guide made it a fun trip. The scenery was gorgeous! Staff was very friendly and took care to ensure we chose the best outing for our skill levels.

We were one of the last tours of the 2023 season in late September. So glad we made it! The scenery was breathtaking. We saw eagles, several other bird breeds, and moose. My favorite part was coming around a bend and seeing the famous Ansel Adams shot of the Tetons. Our guide Mark was very knowledgeable and informative. Ask questions and he may have a fun story to go along with the facts. He did a great job handling the raft, periodically rotating the raft so that everyone had turns sitting fore and aft. We had a morning trip so it was chilly even in the sun, dress warmly in layers, wear insulated shoes and socks. As we were staying at Signal Mountain Lodge, we were given late-checkout since our float trip was the same day - definitely unexpected and appreciated so we didnt have to rush when we got back.
