Yes there is a fridge, make sure you turn it on as soon as you arrive as ours took a long time to get down to temperature.

There is an hourly bus service that stops outside the hotel. It runs from the Fuencaliente Lighthouse (Faro) at the southern tip of La Palma to Los Canarios and back again. In one direction on the even hour (e.g. 10:00, 12:00, etc.) it takes you to Los Canarios and on the odd hour (09:00, 11:00, etc.) it heads towards the lighthouse. At the lighthouse there are the Salinas de Fuencaliente (active saltpans), a café and the start of walks up past the San Antonio and Teneguia volcanoes and on to Los Canarios. In Los Canarios you can catch the service bus that runs to and from the capital, Santa Cruz, and the islands second largest town, Los Llanos. All fares seem to cost 2 euros 10 cents, irrespective of the length of the journey. See further details in my review, “Excellent Return Visit Despite Awful Thomson Booking Experience”

No sea water, but it is still very pleasant to use the heated pool in winter.the pools are clean and well maintained. I highly recommend it. I guarantee you will not be bored with so many swimming pools to choose from.

Car hire booked through hotel rep or reception desk at €30 per day inclusive. Card licence and passport sufficient.

Roads are well maintained with lots of bends and inclines, as you'd expect on a volcano!

Don't forget to book your packed lunch at reception the evening before if full board.

My wife and I are on Vodafone and we had perfect 4G reception during our stay in July, so no need to sit in the lobby for WiFi. We just paid £2 per day (you have to tell vodafone in advance) to use our UK data allowance. It's also great because it only charges you the £2 if you use data that day.

Hiya Tracey,

We took loads of bug repellent but we actually didn't need it at all! Didn't see any mosquitos on our trip in May :)

Have a lovely time

Fairly sure entertainment will be on in the main cabaret room and the bar and lounge areas. We went April it was on every night..

The bus service never used it. I know there was one though.

Enjoy.
