Everybody has its own perception of the hotel and it depends what your expectations are. We have many repetitive guests who found our property as a second home. You could send us your reservation details directly and we’ll ensure you have a memorable and relaxing stay :)

Downtown and Happy Lobster are just about 15 min taxi ride from the hotel.

It is a Golden Oldly! We like it because of the staff. They make it great. It is a long walk to downtown but a very short cab or bus ride. I have never seen the lobster place but this hotel has some connection to a seafood restaurant downtown that other guests were praising so check that out.

For the price, this is a good resort. I'm not much of a pool person, I prefer to lay on the beach and go into the ocean when I need to cool off so I didn't use the pool at all. The food was adequate. I actually enjoyed the breakfasts more than the dinners, although the resort was extremely accomodating to the very large party I traveled with.

The only complaints I had regarding the resort were: 1) the bartending service was S.L.O.W. Slow to the point of aggravation. I started ordered two drinks at a time. 2) The "gym" facility was next to nonexistent. I workout everyday, even on vacation, and I found it very hard to even find anything to do in the dinky room.

There are lots of amenities, including sand volleyball, tennis, kayaks, and the proximity to downtown was great. Overall it was a great value for the price.

It is right beside the cruise ship dock, very close to the Walmart and Liverpool Mall. It is a short bus or cab ride to the Malecon.

Unfortunately, I don't know where the Happy Lobster is!lol

We have been there four times and enjoyed it every time. It is a small resort, all alacarte, although this past winter they did set up a buffet breakfast, while also providing a menu. The staff is extremely good. There is only one pool, but it is an infinity style and also heated which we really like. It is definitely an older resort, does need some refurbishing which we have heard is scheduled for sometime in the near future...however, when you consider the price...we have always thought of it as a good value for your dollar. There is accessibility to the next door family resort...although they cannot come to the adults only...so it does provide several alternative pools, a brand new adults only jacuzzi and several other eating alternatives. There are night shows, however this is probably the weak point of the resort! I hope this helps you with your decision and should you have any other questions feel free to ask!

We love GCP, we have always stayed on the adults only side and we really love it. We always get the ocean front deluxe rooms, so worth it for the view. You can eat and go to the pools and bars on the family side as well. If you are bringing children you will also enjoy the family resort, our children came down with their children one year and they loved it as well. Sorry I disagree with the above complaint regarding bar service, we have never had an issue, we are going for the seventh time in February, already booked. If you have any more questions i will be happy to answer them. Also am unfamiliar with the Happy Lobster, and it is a six dollar american cab ride to downtown. Definitely check out Victors in the Marina, short cab ride and you will love it, food is great.

We have been there for the last 7 yrs, enjoy it and I agree with

Dennise above. It is clean, comfortable and quiet except for if

you are there during a Mexican public holiday. The food is very

good in Salvadores and the French next door and the cafe is

good for breakfast, lunch and supper. The sea front rooms are

worth the extra cost. It is close to the airport, fair shopping and

the bullring, with town 5+ minutes by taxi. Sorry, do not know of the "Happy Lobster".

We were a family of five and we really enjoyed our two week stay at the resort. We had read a number of very negative reviews after we had paid and before we arrived and were getting a little concerned. I am not sure if those folks stayed at the same resort. Sure it is getting a little tired and could use upgrades but had everything we wanted.Staff were excellent and no complaints about any of the food. Missed having a daily stocked fridge in the room.

Did not hear anything about a place called the "Happy Lobster". Everything is either a good walk or a short cab ride. We are planning a return trip to the G.C.P.R.in 2015.
