Comfort Hotel Bayer's Lake Questions & Answers

Fort Collins, Colorado

We're debating between this hotel and one downtown for our stay in Halifax in September. If we stay here, are there other ways to get around in addition to driving?

I would stay at the Comfort Inn in Bayers Lake. It costs less plus no parking charges. I would use your savings to take a cab into the city and then walk around and then pay for a cab back to Bayers Lake. The quality of the hotel is where it is at. If you want to drive to downtown Halifax, you can do that to without any trouble. It is an easy city to get around in. Do yourself a favor and stay at the Comfort Inn.

We were planning to drive into Halifax after checking in, but a heavy fog came in with a driving mist and we just stayed and enjoyed this wonderful hotel. I believe it is an easy drive if the weather is good. We debated staying downtown also, and decided on Bayer's Lake because of the good reviews and better price. It is also an easy access from Peggy's Cove. If we had stayed downtown we would not have been able to do anything except look out our window at the fog.

Comfort Hotel is quiet and the service is excellent. You can take a bus into the city if you don't want to drive, it's not very far. There is free parking at Comfort Hotel, the hotels in the city charge for parking. Comfort Hotel is the only place I'd stay in the Halifax area!

No I'm afraid not, it is strictly a stop over hotel. if you want to visit Halifax I would stay there. There are a lot of good hotels there, but watch out for parking charges.

Good Luck

You can take the publc transit but it will not be ideal. I also heard people took the cab to go around but this will be expensive.

The best bet is to stay downtown Halifax because if you want to book a tour , these companies can pick you up from your downtown stay.
