Disney's Wilderness Lodge Questions & Answers

France

Hi,

I am planning a trip to this hotel and would like a room with views of the Magic Kingdom, lake and pool while at the same time being not too far from the main reception and restaurants and just to be greedy quieter also.

Is this possible?

From what I have read so far it would need to be a higher floor room ,but where exactly?

Thanks for any replies.

If you ask for a pool view I do not believe you will be able to see the fireworks.

If you go on touring plans website you can access a resort map.

this might be able to help with your choice.

Good luck and have a great time!!!

Hello - as said before none of these rooms have views of the MK. I stayed on the club level-7th floor in one of the best view rooms (they told me this) I have a friend who works for Disney and she arranged--we could see the pool and the parade on the water. We could see the fireworks a teeny bit but not as well as going to stand on their beach at the lodge to see them. If you want views of the MK you could try the Contemporary, Bay Towers or the Grand Floridian. The Poly has views of fireworks from their rooms in the back (including the club building) your views of the MK are distant.

We just returned from a stay at WL. We stayed in room 6046. We had a wonderful view of the fireworks from our balcony or even lying in bed. We had very little noise and a short walk to the back elevator which takes you to roaring forks quick service and the exit to the main pool. Our view though was a std view which was a service pkg lot and a tree line. We requested a high floor at our online check in. We were VERY happy with the room and everything about WL!!

You will not see any fireworks from any floor sorry to say. I have stayed on club level and 5th floor both overlooking pool. You can not have a room facing pool and lake. It's not possible. Hotel wraps around pool area. Other choices are lake or parking lot. There are a lot of trees blocking your view also. There is a light show water parade but this can not be seen from any room. You must go down to pool the beach area or bridge by the hot tubs or geyser. With everything you are looking for there are better choices for Disney hotel. Contemporary, Polynesian and Grand Floridian.

Depending on what you want to spend- I would suggest the Grand Floridian for the Magic Kingdom. The Polynesian or The Contempary are great too. The higher you are in any resort the quieter it is and the better view you have. The Wilderness Lodge lacks in so many things including a view of the Magic Kingdom.

We have stayed at The Board Walk and it has a nice view of the fireworks at Epcot. The Dolphin and the Swan also are located close to Epcot.

Good luck..

You can get a room with those views on the Club Level - 7th floor. you would need to ask at the concierge at club level for a room facing the Magic Kingdom. Those room numbers would be 7066-7064-7062 etc...there are only a couple that may allow you to view the fireworks from your room. Otherwise, the lower level floors are all blocked by trees...

That room sounds great but sadly does not exist at this hotel. You can not see the Magic Kingdom from any floor and can not see their fireworks. You can see the water night parade if you go down to the bridge or beach area. The pool view isn't all it is cracked up to be. The balconies are small and you can hear the ferry horn until 2am in your room every 15-20 minutes. The pool lights are spotlights so they can shine in your room so be prepared for that. The hallways are narrow and nothing is close to both main reception and pool as they are on opposite ends. We had the 5th floor and it was always a little but of a joke whether we wanted to get to the pool or front reception area. The pool does have tables, a bar and the quick grab and go restaurant is right through the doors. There was plenty of seating too. The geyser could not be seen from our room on the 5th floor but we could hear it. I'm not sure if anyone gets a view because there were so wild tall trees so it would be difficult to see from any room. Ask to be a flag family. You get to climb to the top of the hotel at 8am and put the flag on top of the hotel. You have to ask at check in. I'm not sure when you are planning on going but for the next few months they are under construction. It's a section in the inside lobby and outside rock area. The hotel is gigantic so there is a lot of walking. When pull up you can valet for $20 a day or self park if you have a car. Wear flip flops at the pool because the wood going to hot tub and beach area is not treated and you can easily get a splinter. If you want magic kingdom views you are better off at the contemporary or grand Floridian resort. If you call and get a garden or court yard view make sure it's not overlooking where they are doing the construction.

I am not sure you can get a room with all of those views. You will definitely need to be on a higher floor. In fact, I don't think you ever really see Magic Kingdom - maybe the fireworks but even that is doubtful.

Standard Rooms look at the parking lot or service areas

Courtyard View Rooms overlook the courtyard of The Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge, or a pool, or waterfall, or the lake . Not all of the above.

Deluxe Rooms are located on the first 6 floors and offer a view of Bay Lake, or woodlands or interior courtyard areas of Disney's Wilderness

Hi,

I'm not sure to be honest about a room with views of Magic Kingdom, the lake and pool while still being close to the reception and restaurants. Frankly speaking, the more distance from the reception area, the better. Also higher floors are better like you said

The room we booked was on the club floor (highest floor I believe) which was quieter than the rest, and gave you access to snacks throughout the day, breakfast and cocktail hour (wine mainly, and appetizers such as scallops wrapped with bacon, cheese, crackers and such). I would most definitely recommend that option...plus it's more secure. You can only access that floor with your Disney magicband

I hope this helps

Please disregard comments indicating that there's no room with Magic Kingdom View. But in all honesty the resort is not as close to appreciate the park in detail. The park taller structures are mostly the ones that you may appreciate from the upper level rooms at the left side (from the entrance) of the building. I got a standard room on the fifth floor with the view. But it wasn't so quite given that it also overlooked the loading dock of the Hotet. A safe bet is a woods view room over the fourth floor. Get lucky getting the right room, for me and my family there is no better place to have a good vacation time.

It is not possible because of all the trees that grew taller as the years went on . They said you could see the Magic Kingdom & fireworks from the lodge only when the property was very new before the trees grew.

Hi

Thanks for the replies so far ,please keep them coming

It seems it's not possible to see the Magic Kingdom but the fireworls are possible so a would a room facing the pool and lake on the 6th/7th floor be the best choice?

I believe there is some sort of light show on the lake
