Dear CharLee100,

Thank you for your question. All the responses below from our previous guests are very helpful, thank you all for your valuable feedbacks.

I would like to reiterate that, from La Guardia Airport, there are various modes of transportation that you can utlize. What's most suitable for you depends on your need, preference, and time of the day, etc. Most of our guests arrive by the following modes:

1)Yellow cabs: cost ranges from $30-$55. Depending on traffic, the journey takes 25-45 minutes.

2) Uber: rates vary based on your choice of vehicles below

uberX $24-32

UberBLACK $43-55

UberSUV $58-73

3)Private rental cars: prices vary based on the agency and type of vehicle, the ride takes 25-45 minutes.

4) If you drive from the airport, please see specific directions outlined below:

-Take Grand Central Parkway west to Triboro Bridge.

- Exit right for Manhattan, pay toll and bear left for FDR Drive South.

-Take FDR South to 63rd Street exit.

-Turn right onto 63rd Street to 5th Avenue.

-Make a left onto 5th Avenue to 60th Street.

-Make a right onto 60th Street following traffic circle around to the light.

-The Plaza is straight ahead.

I hope you find this response helpful, and we look forward to welcoming you at The Plaza. Should you need additional assistance, please don't hesitate to contact us directly.

Warmest Regards

I'm not sure this is helpful, but my travel agent booked a limo transfer from the airport on arrival as part of our holiday cost. We did get a cab on return, the cabbie was very helpful and informative so we got some final sights covered on our home journey.

I reserved a towncar for the ride in, for two of us it was about $50. The cab ride back was nearly $100 because of crazy construction (I know the city and know the cab was not going out of the way or anything).

I highly recommend *any* legal, fixed price to a cab only because you never know what's going to happen--lots of construction.

There are really three ways; via 31st Street; from FDR Drive or by I-495. All will take about 30 minutes without traffic, though 31st Street is actually a shorter route by a couple miles.

I'm not from New York so I had to rely on the honesty of the cab drivers. With that said, I HIGHLY recommend downloading the Uber app and using them instead of the New York yellow cabs. I used Uber for the first time while there and LOVED THEM. Uber was so much better, clean, honest, reliable, friendly, etc...and cheaper!
