As of the Monday 2nd of June 2008 the Liongate Hotel as become under new management. The new manager and his team are working hard to improve all the issues that have been rasied in the passed reviews...

On arrival the curtains of the hotel looked decidedly dirty but unlike others we had no choice as all other hotels were fully booked. The reception was far from warm - they only spoke when spoken to....

Small beds, dirty rooms and mediocre staff. Only stay there as a last resort ......... and that's only if all the campsites are taken.

Don't be taken in by the photos on the website - this hotel is horrible!! I booked an 'executive' double room through the hotel's website (rather than a booking agency) thinking I'd get a room...

Not a great place to stay, but cheap and in the good location
