Cheap flights to Tel Aviv land at Ben-Gurion International Airport. At the airport, you can find ATMs, currency exchange, self-service carts, and a mother and child room for nursing mothers. Ground transportation is provided by rail, bus, taxi, or rental car. The Egged bus stations are located on the second floor next to gates 21 and 23. The train station is on level S of the Landslide Building. Taxis are on level G of the multi-level road. Rental car companies are located in the East Gallery and you will find all the major companies, like Hertz and Alamo, represented there. 

Taxis are always available but like almost anywhere else in the world are the most expensive form of transportation. Buses are much cheaper and there are four different companies that run bus routes. However, you may find them overcrowded and slow as they stop frequently to pick-up and let passengers off. Bike rentals are faster but Tel Aviv temperatures are prohibitive in the summer. While traffic might be difficult to navigate at first, use of the rental car might be the best option. 

Taking cheap flights to Tel Aviv allow you to discover that some of its best attractions are its neighborhoods. White City, a center of Bauhaus Architecture, is a world heritage site. Old Jaffa stretches back four thousand years; you'll even see walls built by the Egyptians. Tel Aviv offers free walking tours of the area. For museums, you'll want to visit Independence Hall or the Museum of the Jewish Diaspora. The Palmach Museum is an interactive museum but you must make an appointment before going. Dive Tel Aviv Diving Center offers private diving expeditions, customized to your diving experience and ability.

Gan Hahashmal has evolved in the last two years into a hip spot of about forty unique shops and cafes. The Nachlat Binyamin Pedestrian Mall hosts an arts and crafts market every Tuesday and Friday. For mall shopping, there is the Opera Tower or Azrieli Center. The Carmel Market is the largest open-air market in Tel Aviv. For dining, there are over 250 restaurants in Tel Aviv which range from French food to fast food. One of the best is Onami, a Japanese restaurant. Piccola Pasta is the place for Italian food. For affordable family fare, consider eating at Benedict. Of course, if you want the best local cuisine, Orna and Ella is the place to go. At night, you can see some great performances at the Mann Auditorium, the Tel Aviv Performing Arts Center, or the Suzanne Dellal Center. Or, if you'd rather see the bar scene, there's the Bungalow Bar or Eckman.
