Newark Liberty International Airport is one of the largest airports in the US. It is situated in both the city limits of Newark and Elizabeth, NJ. It is the tenth busiest airport in the country, while being the fifth busiest if you just count international traffic. As such, getting cheap flights to Newark should be no problem. It handles over 33 million passengers per year and as you would expect of such a busy airport it has excellent facilities. It has three terminals with a variety of shops and restaurants available, including duty free shops. The AirTrain connects the airport with NJ Transit and Amtrak train services. Getting Around Newark

There is an extensive mass transit system in Newark. The Newark Penn Station connects the interurban PATH system, which links the city to Manhattan, with the three New Jersey light rail lines. The New Jersey Transit system also operates over 247 bus routes in the state so you will have no shortage of options after your flights to Newark have landed. There are many car rental agencies located at the airport such as Avis, Budget and Dollar. Taxis including limousine, executive cars and vans are also available at the airport to transport you around the city and to your hotel.

Newark Attractions

As a major city there is no shortage of things to do in Newark. The Newark Museum is an underrated treasure in the city. It houses a combination of art, science and historic buildings. The Ballantine House is a four-story mansion with two floors open to the public. Branch Brook Park has over 359 acres and includes around 2,000 cherry trees. An annual Cherry Blossom Festival is held every April. After your Newark flights have landed it is of course easy to get to Manhattan and see the sights there.

All types of music are performed here by local bands including, Brazilian, Hispanic, Jazz and Rap.
