Start with a trip to Plaza de Prim, which is flanked by the magnificent Fortuny Theatre. A short stroll away is the stunning Modernist Casa Navas, designed by Lluis Domenech i Montaner. The city is also home to many other impressive Modernist buildings such as the Casa Rull, Casa Gasull and L’Institute Pere Mata. Reus was the birthplace of Antoni Gaudi. The famous architect is remembered in the Gaudi Centre, where his personal items and sketches are displayed. The museum also has a number of interactive displays as well as a replica of Gaudi’s workshop.

Shopping, Dining and Nightlife

El Pallol is a shopping district located in the heart of Reus. It boasts a number of local brand names as well as international high street chains such as Clarks. Visit the stylish La Preso Cerveseria to enjoy tapas and a selection of local wines. The menu changes daily, and often features delicacies such as Iberian ham and Galician steak. El Celler Del Padri is a homely restaurant offering hearty servings of Mediterranean and Catalan cuisine. Sample dishes such as flambéed snails, squid with beans and grilled ham.
