Decent hotel, noisy though. Nice boutique with very reasonable prices. Good location in san jose - close to museums and plaza and other shopping. Travel office is on site, and excursions can be booked online with your reservation. Very very accomidating staff. Free breakfast every morning was very tasty. Patio area is small but sheltered and relaxing. Biggest negative here were that the rooms had no soundproofing to speak of, and the beds were quite old. Its definately worth the $10 to upgrade to the better room class that they offer. I'd stay there again, but only as one night guest on my way in and out of san jose. They will also store luggage for you as long as you have a reservation your first and last nights in town. |

3. Rainforest Aerial Tram
| Rainforest reserve with zip line, hiking trails and aerial tram. Very pretty, guides are very knowledgable and good at pointing out wildlife (which can be hard to see). |

4. Pueblo Antiguo (Parque Nacional de Diversiones)
| BORING and cheesy! A definate must miss. Very little historical information. Begins with a tour of a recreation of some historical costa rica buildings, but most of the time is spent in a cheesy musical show, followed by a mediocre dinner. Situated inside an amusement park. |

5. La Paz Waterfall Gardens
| Beautiful, a must see! Great waterfalls and exhibits. This wasn't in my original plans, but I'm so glad I didn't miss this!! The waterfall hiking is an easy paved hike with stairs going down, and a pickup station at the bottom so you don't have to hike to the top again. |

| Great entrance and exit point for costa rica, but to get the most out of your trip, don't plan on spending more than a day or two. This city is very crowded, busy and smoggy. Much better places to be in costa rica. |
