A bustling city with something for everyone. Skip the water puppet theater, but stroll around the lake and visit the markets that surround it. Everything is negotiable. |

Wonderful 5-star hotel in a great location. Convenient to the busy city market but quiet and restful. The pool area and bar were fabulous. Rooms were richly appointed. Like the Strand in Yangon or the Mandarin Oriental in Bangkok. |

Our favorite hotel on the trip. Like the Oriental, crossed with a W hotel. Extraordinary service, but somehow hip as well. The food in the restaurant was absolutely amazing--a welcome respite from the unusual meals we'd been having on the rest of the trip. We couldn't bear to leave. |
