This place is authentic Thai food. A couple can eat here and leave with a doggie bag for under $20. My favorite touch to this restaurant is the photo menu. They have a photo album with a picture of every dish they serve and all look delicious. I am sure this was meant to help diners decide what they want, but it always makes me want it all. The entrees are bordering on large portions. The service is usually fast and always friendly. This is a come as you are restaurant, so need for reservations or dressy attire.
2. A. Russo and Sons
Russo's looks like an establishment you might pay $10 for an apple, but once you enter you will realize how very wrong you are. The produce is dirt cheap and in PERFECT condition and beautifuly displayed. They carry fresh home made pasta such as lemon basil and local cheese, miso paste and vegetables when the season is right. The butcher shop carries Niman Ranch products and hormone free meats and about 8-10 types of salami and Italian meats, all for very reasonable prices. The bakery prices are a steal and the loaves of bread have always been warm when I have visited.
560 Pleasant St Watertown, MA 02472 TEL: 617-923-1500
4. Addis Red Sea Ethiopian Restaurant
I call this a upscale bistro diner. The prices are unpretentious and I highly recommend the breakfast and brunch menu. If u are sight seeing in Boston this will give you the fuel to go see the city.
My menu faves: Crab cake BLT & Grilled 3 Cheese & Sweet potato fries
44 Charles St Beacon Hill
9. Cha Fahn: A Tea Room
Also a location in Framingham.
14. Michaels Harbor Side- Newburyport Massachusetts
The feel from the outside is typical New England seafood shack, but one look at the menu says New England bistro! Prices are fantastic and the food is so good. This locale is great, right on the water, very family friendly place and on Sunday evenings there is live entertainment on the Tiki Deck.
15. Zebra's Bistro & Wine Bar- Medfield Massachusetts
Big city dining in suburbia. The prices are VERY reasonable for brunch, a little more pricey for dinner, the food is delicious! Waitstaff are friendly and very attentive.
16. Salumeria Italiana
Proscuitto that feels like silk and tastes like heaven. Located in the North End section of Boston. They sell everything Italy can offer for food. Excellent top quality meats and very friendly helpful staff. Its so Italian you may be the only one not speaking it!
17. Smiths Country Cheese- Winchendon Massachusetts
This is award winning Gouda cheese and has been mentioned in Bon Appetit as a "best of" cheese. I recommend the sage gouda. The viewing windows at the facility make it possible to see them stirring the curds and whey and aging process.

The staff is above par at this vineyard being very attentive and friendly. The wines are delicious. They carry many varieties including ports and my favorite the vidal blanc. The offer a tasting and you get a souvenir glass. There is a small "restaurant" that offers really only cheese tasting platters ans maybe small sandwich platters but they allow u to eat them picnic style on the vineyard grounds or on the patio.
This is home to the Deep Fried Burger! The menu is enormous, well priced & steps above regular pub fare. The fried artichokes are great and portions are generous to say the least.
