As more airlines introduce non-reclining seats for short haul flights, would you prefer the recline functionality to be removed from all economy class short haul flights?

  • 1. Hotel Theresa, Zell im Zillertal, Austria

The Theresa is a fabulous place to enjoy the Austrian Alps. The hotel is family owned, has excellent food and is the ideal base for hikers, bikers, skiers. But with its spa areas and childcare it is also great for the more relaxing parts of your trip.
The owners know every track and slope in the valley and either guide you on hikes, skiing trips or mountainbike tours or have tremendous tipps for the more adventorous guests. I can really recommend this place as one of the cosiest I have ever stayed in.

  • 2. Gerlosstein

The hike to the Gerlossteinwand rewards with breathtaking views. After a short cable-car from the village Hainzenberg, you hike about 3 hours to the peak of the Gerlosstein. There is even a climbing route through the 250m rockface. But of course I chose the path around the western side of the mountain. Up on top was a huge cross at the peak and the view around was amazing.

  • 3. Arena Panorama Tour

The biketour from the Rosenalm to Gerlos is relatively easy (when you shuttle with the cablecar) but offers great views over the "Zillertaler Alpen". The ride back is unfortunately on a rather busy road, but that is mostly downhill, so not too bad.
