Nice place to stay - just outside of downtown so away from the traffic. Great views, good value for the money. |

| Great little B&B with gourmet breakfasts. This is further out of town, actually in Dorset, on the Dorset West Road. About 6 miles from Manchester Center. On a very nice, quiet country road. Great mountain views from the front porch. Reasonably priced for the area. If you're looking for a secluded getaway, this is a good bet. |

| Robert Todd Lincoln's home. Tour the house, then take a stroll through the beautiful flower gardens out back, and visit the observatory. Visit their website for a list of events throughout the year. Every June they hold an Antique & Classic Car show. We've been several times. It's one of the best shows in New England, in our opinion. |

4. Southern Vermont Arts Center
| The Southern Vermont Arts Center is located in Manchester, Vermont in a National Historic Trust Mansion. The Arts Center's ten galleries feature classic and contemporary art on view and for sale. The Center's 407-acres are situated on the slope of Mount Equinox and offer hiking trails, a botany trail, sculpture gardens and an indoor/outdoor cafe. In addition, art classes and performances of music and dance are offered. Definitely worth a trip. If you go on a sunny day, be sure to check out the sculpture gardens and trails. |

| This is actually about an hour north of Manchester, in the town of Proctor, Vermont. If you're in the area for an extended period of time, it may be worth a trip. We visited here a few years ago and found it enjoyable. We learned a lot about the history of the Vermont marble industry. There's also a gift shop there. |

| This store is a must-see for booklovers, or even anyone just looking for a unique gift or vacation memento. I never miss it when we're in town. Great way to spend a rainy afternoon. |

7. Kitchen Store at J.K. Adams
| This is actually on Route 30 in Dorset, several miles from Manchester Center, but worth a trip. Kitchen store features all kinds of great stuff! Wusthoff cutlery, glassware, and JK Adams cutting boards. This store is at the factory, and on the upper floor of the store, you can walk onto an observation deck area and watch the factory at work. Store features demonstrations, and food samples (they had the best pizza the day we were there!) |
