Here are some ideas for you, in case by some mishap you happen to be hanging out in what we like to affectionately call the 'grove, so you dont get too bored! Hopefully this list will help you make your time in elk grove time well spent!

1. Zehnder's Flash Yogurt & Rainbow Snow
This is definitley the best frozen yogurt you will ever eat in Elk Grove. They give you a huge portion of yogurt in a variety of sizes for a very good price, and if you get a topping, they give you a ridiculous amount of it!!! its GREAT GREAT GREAT! and its a local place, too, so it tastes authentic :-)
2. Barbara Morse Wackford Community & Aquatic Complex

This new building is in the heart of Elk Grove and has a few really nice pools to chill out in. Also, next door is a skate park! There are also a lot of events and even one day classes here, so check out the schedule and find something to do!
3. Elk Grove parks and Recreation

Check the website or pick up a local catalog to see all the stuff thats going on... there are farmers markets during the summer, a harvest festival every fall, the strauss festival in the spring, and lots of other local stuff! This is definitley the best way to figure out whats going on that day in the 'grove.
4. El Novillero Restaurant
El Novillero Restaurant, Sacramento, California
Ok, so this isnt really in Elk grove, but that doesnt matter because its famous all around. They have some of the best Mexican food ever, at good prices, and the interior is very pretty. And its been open since the 70's, owned by the same family!
5. Elk Grove Brewery and Restaurant

This brewery, located in the 'old elk grove' section of the city (some interesting buildings to look at over here too), is a great place to go to because they are pretty famous in Elk Grove for good food and great beer. Its a local favorite!
