An AMAZING 5 day/4 night vacation in Honolulu. We were there 9/9-9/13.

We stayed here all 4 nights. We opted for the room with air-conditioning for an extra $10 a night ($60/night).

Pros: Affordable, Clean, The beds aren't as uncomfortable as most budget hotels, Room 601 has a pretty good view of the beach

Cons: The towels smelled bad, The doors are not soundproof at all (for the couples)
Alot of reviewers on this site said that this beach is overcrowded and that there are better ones, etc. However, it was our personal favorite out of all the ones we visited.

Pros: The most beautiful beach I've ever seen, The cheeseburgers at the stand are really yummy

Cons: Crowded
3. Kobe' Japanese Steak House
We ate here our first night. Similar to Benihana. We ordered two entrees and lava flows.

Pros: Better presentation than Benihana
Cons: Benihana has better fried rice

Cost: $40 for both with Entertainment Book coupon (buy it!)
Everyone here seems to love this place. It wasn't bad, but it isn't mind-blowing.

Pros: Plain Malasadas
Cons: All the other ones did not measure up at all

Cost: ~$10 for one of each malasada
We climbed all the way up to the top, but not without some pain. The view is pretty good, but I was mostly glad to be done climbing. Not that we're out of shape (quite the contrary), but that is not a easy climb as described by reviewers.

Pros: Workout, The view
Cons: Workout

Cost: Free!
We went snorkeling here, but we didn't have as much time as my boyfriend would've liked because we had to be back for the luau. I would recommend setting aside at least 2.5 hours so that you have enough time to snorkel and chill.

Pros: Snorkeling is fun, The beach is pretty, The fish were cool
Cons: I got seasick (Buy Dramamine), Allot more time

Cost: Admission $5, Snorkel set $8, Locker $5
This was the highlight of our trip. It had a bit of an expensive resort feel where everything was taken care of and all you have to do is relax. It made us really feel like we were on vacation

Pros: Everything but the cons
Cons: The games were kind of unnecessary but it didn't really dampen the experience, The food however was not very good.

Cost: $115 for both with Entertainment Card
I really wanted to go here, my boyfriend not so much. I personally like palaces and kings and queens and such so it was my "historical" part of our trip.

Pros: It's a palace!
Cons: We did the audio tour, and the audio can get a little long at times.

Cost: $12 each
We went kayaking here through Twogood Kayaks. I got seasick again, but it was fun. We were late, so we only had an hour to kayak, but both of us thought that that was the perfect amount of time.

Pros: It was romantic
Cons: I got seasick

Cost: $39 for two single kayaks through Twogood Kayaks with Entertainment Card
10. Sam Choy's Diamond Head Restaurant
AMAZING restaurant. The food was SOOOOO good! We ordered the cream cheese filled wontons for an appetizer (which was my bf's favorite), and I ordered butterfish and he some steak. Butterfish = the best! It literally melts in your mouth, but the sauce didn't suit my palate. We also ordered lava flows. Decor was comfortable, and not stuffy at all.

Pros: Wontons and Butterfish
Cons: A bit pricey, but we had a coupon, The steak wasn't bad, but not amazing

Cost: $70 for both with Entertainment Card
11. Aloha Stadium Swap Meet
This was where we bought all of our souvenirs, but unfortunately most of the food stands were closed so we were VERY hungry. You see alot of the same stuff over and over again, but obviously the further you get from the entrance, the cheaper it gets.

Pros: Good Prices, I bought some really pretty earrings for $1 each :)
Cons: Repetitive, I was hungry

Cost: Admission $1
Pearl Harbor. You have to go here during your trip for historical purposes.

Pros: The memorial is beautiful, within walking distance to the Swap Meet
Cons: You have to check-in your bags (unexpected cost!)

Cost: Admission free, Each bag checked $2 (go before swap meet to save)
This was my surprise for my boyfriend :). It was really amazing; you can see the whole beach and Diamond Head, and there is a band that plays (his favorite part). The food was the highlight however; we ordered lava flows (AMAZING), escargot appetizer, carrot soup (YUM), sea bass (my favorite meal of all time), lamb (I really liked this entree of his, but he said it wasn't his taste), and bananas foster (table-side presentations ftw)

Pros: Everything!
Cons: Nothing :) except the price tag :(

Cost: $175 for both, but it was definitely worth it.
14. Entertainment Book
Buy the Entertainment Book!!! It saved us SO much money, and there are so many other coupons than those mentioned.
