These are places that I want to visit, some are very well-known and some are not as well-known.
1. New York City
The United States' largest city and I only live 3.5 hours away and have not visited. This city contains famous sites like the Statue of Liberty, the Empire State Building, Grand Central Station, and the Brooklyn Bridge that I want to see.
The largest volume waterfall and most famous waterfall in the US. Only 7 hours away, this is a place I really want to visit and see this powerful waterfall for myself. The attractions like Cave of the WInds and Maid of the Mist that get you up close and personal to the waterfalls sounds interesting. Plus, hiking in the Niagara Gorge sounds like a great outdoor adventure.
I have been to the one in Yellowstone and the true one in Arizona. But, I have not visited this grand canyon. Carved by glaciers, it is 1,000 feet deep and contains 2 state parks. Plus, there is great hiking opportunities.
The gateway town to the Grand Canyon of PA. It rivals in quaintness to a new england town and is very much like a new england town.
Another beautiful canyon only 6 hours away. The main thing I want to see here is a feat of engineering, the new river gorge bridge. It spans the gorge from Rim to Rim. Hiking sounds like it is awesome and there are jet boat rides on the river. There is also the famous Glade Creek Grist Mill nearby.
A dramatic rock formation. I want to hike to the top of this. Also, in the area I want to hike dolly sods, see spruce knob, smoke hole canyon, nelson rocks, and the beautiful blackwater falls.
7. Yosemite National Park
I have been here before, but didn't visit the alpine area of the park and I didn't feel like I saw enough. It is a very beautiful national park.
A beautiful lake not too far from Yosemite that I want to see.
9. Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Park
Not far away from Yosemite, these are two national parks I would like to definitely check out.
10. Saint Louis
I want to see and go up in the Saint Louis Arch. I am very interested in seeing how they get you up to the top of the arch. Plus, I want to go here so I can say I have been to the Mid-west as I have never traveled to the mid-west before.
11. Everglades National Park
A land of diversity. I would love to see this "river of grass" and get face to face with an alligator.
12. Florida Keys
I would go to the keys for the coral reefs and the turquoise water. It is like the Caribbean, but closer.
I have been to the south rim, but I want to see the Grand Canyon from the other, less crowded, more forested prospective, the North Rim.
An oasis in the desert. I would probably hike in and take the chopper out. These waterfalls are pretty famous, but yet so remote. I love waterfalls and the green water of the waterfalls is just beautiful.
A famous rock sculpture in the Black Hills. It is an American icon.
16. Badlands National Park
The colorful and uniqueness of the badlands looks interested. Not too far from Mount Rushmore, it definitely a place I want to visit.
17. Estes Park
Gateway to Rocky Mountain National Park and outdoor adventure.
18. Rocky Mountain National Park
A national park in the heart of the Colorado Rockies with highest countinueous paved road in the country.
19. Glacier National Park
A beautiful national park in Montana with very green mountains in the heart of the northern montana rockies.
20. Banff National Park
A very beautiful national park in the Canadian Rockies.
21. Jasper National Park
Another national park in the Canadian Rockies near Banff. Emerald Lakes and Green mountains.
I have always wanted to travel to alaska. Fjords, Mountains, glaciers, and sea cliffs makes it a very scenic and unusual place.
