Washington DC can be an exciting place to visit at night! Though the locals would disagree with the choice. DC can be a little bit dangerous for one to walk by themselves, always make sure you are with a group of people. There are many families that come out at night and take the following tour that I did myself. I hope you enjoy the following recap of my adventure in Washington DC at Night!
First thing is first, if you are taking public transporatation you want to get off at the Capital South exit to get to the Capital Steps. The view of this place is nice, though, the stairs are now guarded by the police patrol, it is a very nice view of the Washington and Lincoln Memorial from the steps of the capital.
After walking around the capital and taking pictures at night, head on over to the White House to take a few pictures of this nice place at night time. It is very well lit for people to see.
Once next door at the White house you want to visit the United States Department of Treasury, this is a nicely lit place and they have an interesting statue in the front of the building to read.
At night time there is someone there to speak to one about the memorial. This is a national park person that can tell you a little bit of history of the place, he is not hard to miss and carries a long stick!
Nothing like a well lit monument to visit! There are many people here to enjoy the nice monument as well at night! Just a nice view to visit as well as a moment to reflect on the past!
In the memorial is a little history room to walk around and see how the memorial was built, climb the steps to the foot of Lincoln and enjoy reading the scriptures on the three walls in this building! It is a great walk for all to enjoy!
Pay respect to those that have parished in the war, by visiting and touching the wall of a love one many may have known. It is a great item to visit and reflect on those that have died for what America stands for!
