1. Disney's Pop Century Resort

Ave price: $101
My first HUGE tip to you is stay INSIDE the park!
You may think that staying at a Disneyworld resort is expensive, but it doesn't have to be. Disney cater for all different families with their many resorts having different costs. The lower priced and moderately priced resorts are some of the best in the country!

Our family stayed at Pop Century Resort, which is a value/moderately priced resort (it is quite good for families with young children - it will keep them entertained.)

Staying at a resort means you won't have to hire a car as transportation to each theme park is complimentary. Also you save money when you bundle your park tickets and accommodation together.

As a resort guest you get a 'key to the world' card, which does several things. First of all it is the key to your room. Secondly it can act as a charging card (maybe only elect this for adults cards!) so you don't have to carry cash around (except in downtown Disney as they do not accept the charging card as a method of payment). Then your bill gets deducted from your credit card at the end of your stay! It is very user friendly and doesn't waste time!

I see staying in a Disney Resort a huge plus, it takes the hassle out of your vacation and lets you have fun!
2. Everything Pop Food Court, Pop Century Resort
The second thing about vacations is knowing where to eat!
Each resort has their own cafeteria or restaurant, as does each park. If you are staying at Pop Century Resort then the food court will be your main dining place.
Everything is well priced and the atmosphere and facilities are great. If you are staying for three or more days then I recommend you buy a travel mug.

A travel mug will cost $11.95 and this means that you can refill it for free with any beverage you like at your resort during your entire stay. So if your are staying a while then this really pays off. Beverages include soft drinks, tea, coffee, frozen coke, juices and hot chocolate.

During the day however is a different story. The places to eat in the parks have all different price ranges so you can select a place to eat that suits your budget. Although the food is usually more expensive, it does taste extremely good! Since your on holiday you might as well spoil your family to lunch - it will make the day!
As transportation is complimentary you can travel back to your resort for dinner and easily come back to the park later if you wanted to!
3. Magic Kingdom
The Magic Kingdom is one of four parks at DisneyWorld. It is the more original of the parks - if you have been to Disney in California this is the same but bigger and better!
This tends to be the favorite of most people and I found it to be the busiest of the parks.

I would recommend you save this park to last, as it is the best one! This park contains many favorite rides of mine: Pirates of the Caribbean, the Haunted Mansion, Cinderellas castle, space mountain, splash mountain and big thunder mountain railroad, just to name a few!
4. Epcot Center
The EPCOT center is another of the parks here at Disneyworld. It is probably my second favorite. Half the park is based on more of a scientific approach to fun, looking at speed, how technology has changed over the years, evolution, space travel etc. They have some really great rides here too!

The other half of the park is a world showcase, where selected countries are put up on show. You can actually feel like you are almost in the actual place! One attraction I would highly recommend is the IllumiNations fireworks display at night. It is set on the lake in the middle of the showcase and it just magnificent. It is good to get their early and get good seats as close to the water as possible!
5. Disney's Animal Kingdom
The third park at Disney.

I would have to say that this park is particularly aimed at younger children, although their are some rides for older kids and adults (but not as many as the other parks). My most favorite ride out of the whole four parks is in the Animal Kingdom - Expedition Everest! It is one of the best roller coaster rides you can go on (it goes forwards, backwards and in the dark). You have a great view of the parks when you climb really high. Everybody should try thing ride (unless you are prone to motion sickness).

The Dinosaur ride is extremely fast and literally rips you around corners in the dark. It was the least favorite ride in our family (be careful because it can hurt your neck). But if you are into quick rides with sharp turns then maybe its for you!

Kali River Rapids is another great ride for kids and adults of all ages - although leave it to last as your can expect to get incredibly wet. And believe me the raincoats you can buy do not work that well - you somehow still get wet!
6. Disney-MGM Studios
This is the final park of Disneyworld. I don't really have many tips for you as this was the park we missed out on as we didn't have enough time. But if can't visit all the parks I would recommend going to MGM studios (if you have never been to universal before). If you have been to universal studios I assume that the MGM studio's would be very similar so it might suit you to go to the Animal Kingdom instead.
Ever better still - visit them all, then you don't have to choose which one to miss out on!
7. Downtown Disney
No trip to Disney is complete with doing a little shopping!
Downtown Disney is a great place to do that. If you are looking for souvenirs or anything Disney then head to the World of Disney Store - it is huge and will have anything you could possibly want!

Then there is the Christmas Store - if you want good quality decorations that are individual and quirky then visit this store. If you are into scrapbooking (like me!) then their is a scrapbooking shop that you can spend time and money in, it has nice little nick knacks in there.
If your kids are into LEGO there is a huge store where you can buy Lego and little stations that kids can sit at and play.
Food is no problem either. Planet Hollywood is good (a little on the expensive side - roughly $16-20 for lunch per meal) but is worth the experience!
There is even a cinema there that you can go and see whatever film you are dying to see. Just give it a try.
