2. Millennium Park Chicago
The 24.5-acre Millennium Park Chicago is a feat of art of all sorts: architecture (Frank Gehry's Jay Pritzker Pavilion), sculpture (Anish Kapoor's popular Could Gate and the interactive Crown Fountain by Jaume Plensa), and landscaping (Lurie garden). Millennium Park is also host to a number of events throughout the year.
3. John G. Shedd Aquarium
Thrill the kids with a trip to the Shedd Aquarium, home of nearly every sea creature imaginable, from beluga whales to sea otters and exotic fish. And no wonder, as it's the world's largest indoor aquarium.
4. Museum of Science and Industry
The Museum of Science and Industry is a great educational experience for kids young and old. Tons of interactive exhibits and an Omnimax and 3D theater are among its draws.
5. The Field Museum
Nowhere on earth can you witness a T-rex skeleton as complete as Sue, the resident dino at the Field Museum. The museum is home to biological and anthropological collections from around the world.
6. Lincoln Park Zoo
One of the nation's oldest and last remaining free zoos, it's a great place to introduce the kids to the wonders of the wild. Paddleboat tours, a sea lion pool and the Pritzker Family Children's Zoo are among its special attractions.
7. Adler Planetarium and Astronomy Museum
Explore astronomy and space travel at the Adler, home of a state-of-the-art 3D theater, rotating exhibits, the Scientific Instrument Collection and the city's largest public telescope, The Doane Observatory.
8. Art Institute of Chicago
The Art Institute of Chicago is home both to a school and a museum. Get lost amid one of the nation's largest collections of impressionist works, among many others in its extensive permanent collection, from African art to European Decorative Arts to contemporary photography.
9. Museum of Contemporary Art
World class contemporary exhibits, short movies and family friendly activities are in constant rotation at this renowned museum. Performances and programs make the museum a locus for arts-related education and events.
10. Sears Tower Skydeck

11. The Hancock Observatory
A great 360 view is afforded from The Hancock Observatory, which also features an open-air Skywalk and a multimedia tour narrated by David Schwimmer.
