Lovely place with tons of beautiful cathedrals. Everyone was very friendly. The tiny sidwalks annoyed me and wallking on the cobblestoned streets was an experience. I found plenty of American Restaurants mixed in with the traditional. Most people in the larger stores spoke a bit of english so it wasnt so terrible. But word of advice, if you go into the market on the edge of town bring a translater and prepare to haggle. If you want to buy authentic, good quality Jade at a reasonable price I suggest buying here.

This Hotel Is just Lovely. I stayed two nights and enjoyed them both. There is alot of security, but that is for the safety of the guests, being one of the more expensive hotels in the area make the guests a target to some. But the room was good and the service fine. I was polite and so were they. The pool is like a hidden treasure with a fountain in the middle and the grounds are fantastic.
3. Cafe Condessa, antigua, guatemala
Lovely Cafe off the main square hidden behind a minor bookstore. Its reasonably priced and very good. I went for breakfast every morning. The only complaint I can make was that the service was slow.
