Must See & Do if you visit Southern California

  • 1. Sunset Ranch Hollywood
Sunset Ranch Hollywood, Los Angeles, California

Take a 2-4 hour horseback ride over the hollywood hills and see Los Angeles from the top of the mountain. It's lots of fun and remember to bring a sweater because it gets chilly.

  • 2. Santa Monica
    Santa Monica, California

You must go to 3rd st. in Santa Monica and experience the Promanade. It's an outdoor shopping mall with street entertainers and cute boutiques. And it's just a couple blocks away from the Santa Monica Pier where you can relax on the beach or play a few games.

  • 3. Venice Beach
    Venice Beach, Los Angeles, California

If you like to people watch this is the place to go. A very vibrant beach with the true essence of Los Angeles. Bring cash for parking and purchasing souvenirs from the beach vendors especially on weekends. Great beach entertainment and lots of vintage clothing shops.

  • 4. Universal City Walk & Studios
Universal CityWalk Hollywood, Los Angeles, California

A long strip of restaurants, shops, movie theatres, and Hollywood entertainment. It's free to go and leads to Universal Studios which I highly recommend. Take the tram in Universal Studios to get a tour of movie sets and a background history of Hollywood in the movies.

  • 5. Gladstone's 4 Fish
    Gladstones, Los Angeles, California

In Malibu off the Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) is a seafood restaurant right on the beach with great food and views. The sourdough bread is amazing and the fish is fresh. Alaskan King Crab legs are the best especially when they are in season. It can be pricey but its a setting you will never forget. There is Valet parking.

  • 6. Downtown San Diego
Downtown San Diego, San Diego, California

I love the Gas Lamp district in downtown San Diego. They have a HUGE mall, and little pubs along the streets. It's great to go after hours around 10pm for dinner and drinks. Good looking people and good architecture in the old buildings. Very safe place.

  • 7. China Town In Downtown Los Angeles

Great place to find bargains and exceptional Chinese Dim-Sum!!

  • 8. Melrose Ave

A long famous outdoor blvd. of boutiques, artsy shops, restaurants, and weird stuff. You might run into a famous face out there. You can't miss this place if you visit LA.
