I travelled to Santorini October 2008 as a solo female traveller and I thought I would share what I did and where I ate that made my trip so amazing.

1. Theoxenia Hotel

Ave price: $221
You can see my review of this hotel but I had a blast here. It is pricey for just one person but if you have the means spend on this hotel. It's in the middle of everything and breakfast in bed is included.
2. Blue Star Ferries Tours

You will find these offices all over Fira. I booked tickets that morning at 9:30 and the tour started at 11. You can take the cable car down or walk down to the port with your ticket and get on the boat. It's such a nice trip. Takes you everywhere on a glass bottom boat to the volcano, the hotsprings, thirassia, and oia. Bring water and your swimsuit and your camera of course. Also wear sneakers or hiking boots for the volcano. I paid on $20 euros.

Excellent local food. Great family place. Good value.
4. Naoussa Tavern
Naoussa Tavern, Fira, Santorini
Great place for dinner or lunch. Wondeful seafood and staff. Truly local cuisine and people.
5. Tropical Bar

Great place to have a drink and watch the sunset in Fira. Also great late night spot for dancing and drinking.
6. Kira Thira Jazz Club

Great after hours spot for dancing and drinks.
7. Red Beach
Red Beach, Fira, Santorini
Checkout all of the beaches in Santorini including perissa and white beach. They're all worth the look. Crazy to see red sand and then black sand and then white sand.
