Main Hotel is very old but well kept. Gorgeous lobby. We stay in the Carriage Suites directly behind the Main Hotel. The Carriage Suites are fully equipped with kitchenttes, dining areas, gas fireplaces, and jacuzzi tubs. Each suite will sleep 4 to 8 people and look out over the Moat Mountains. We usually have a 1 Bedroom Suite on the top floor. The unit is huge. It has a separate bedroom with King size bed, huge TV, gas fireplace, bath with shower and a corner jacuzzi tub in the bedroom. The other room has a full kitchen with regular refridgerator and dishwasher. Also has a stacking washer and dryer. The main bath has double vanity and a two person jacuzzi. There is a 27" TV and another gas fireplace in this room. There is a small balcony off both rooms. This hotel is centrally located, you can walk to restaurants and local shops. There is a train station at Shuler Park. The trains are used for sight seeing tours and do run behind the Carriage Suites on a limited basis. We thinkthey are fun! We can hear when the trains are coming and gather up the Grandchildren on the balcony so they can wave to the people on the train!
2. Decades Restaurant, North Conway, NH
Terrific Restaurant just a short walk from Eastern Slope Inn. On Tuesday's they run a buy one get one free special, but you have to make reservations! The decor is very eclectic with all kinds of things from the 60's-90's. There is a good size bar. The food is great. They have a very good menu with enough choices for everyone. We had prime rib the night we went and it was perfect. Service was friendly and efficient. I highly reccommend this restaurant.
3. Flatbread Pizza Company
Flatbread Pizza Company, North Conway, New Hampshire
Love the Flatbread Company. This restaurant is attached to the Main Hotel at Eastern Slope Inn. All of their food is organic and freshly made on premises. Any meats they use in their flatbreads are free range. This is not your typical pizza joint. All the flatbreads are cooked in wood-fired ovens that are in the dining area so you can watch how they are prepared and cooked. The menu is a little limited, but everything we tried was excellent. They also have a good selection of beers, both bottled and draft.
4. Gouldie's Restaurant, North Conway, NH
Terrific Breakfast restaurant. We go there every time we stay in N. Conway. It is located a short drive from Eastern Slope Inn on the Rte 16. They have a terrific selection of breakfast items such as eggs, bacon, sausage, ommelets, cereals, pancakes. Prices are very reasonable and you get plenty of food.
5. Settler's Green, North Conway, NH
Great Outlet Shopping all in one place. It is located on Rte 16. They have every kind of outlet for clothing, linens, housewares, toys, candles, shoes, Craft Shops and restaurants. We do all our Christmas shopping here when we visit.
