1. TAM Vacations
TAM vacations offers good deals and itineraries. We used their core plan but then adjusted to meet our preferences.

On Copacabana beach right in the middle of the action. Location, Location, Location. Ensure you get an ocean-facing room. We stayed here but we would consider any hotel on Copa next trip.
Must see. Take the train to the top. Sit on the right side (side that you board from) of the train on the way up as the views are best from that side.

We took a 3 hour bus tour, but, we would recommend just taking a taxi from your hotel. It's a very short trip and taxi is only about $12US each way. That's less than cost of our bus tours, and you don't have to wait for the tour, and pick up other passengers for 30 minutes. Plus, you can relax and enjoy the statue.
As noted above, just catch a taxi ( you can have your hotel negotiate the price) So easy and relaxing.
Brazilian steakhouse on Flamengo Beach. Read the reviews - I can't imagine a trip without eating here.
Fun evening.
We spent 1 day touring the downtown. There is a subway station about 3 blocks from Copacabana that takes you downtown easily. We simply took our Fodder's book and wandered around the cultural sights.

Follow the guidance of others. Ensure you go on a weekday and during the day.
Ensure you visit both the Brazilian and Argentina sides! Both are great and unique and you will miss 1/2 the experience if you don't do both. A morning flight to Iguacu with the afternoon on the brazilian side, followed by the next day on Argentina side is perfect. We arrives in iguacu late (midnight) due to a flight delay, and visited both sides on one busy day! We were tired - but it was worth it! (Make sure you take your passport with you as you'll need it to cross the border) (Also, have both Argentina Pesos and brazilian Real's in your pocket as you'll need both)

Good hotel. We noticed there were a lot of hotels closer to the falls, but this hotel seemed to be fun and close to the airport as well. Recommended.

The buffet dinner in the hotel restaurant is fantastic! After a long day at the falls, forget about going elsewhere - just relax at the hotel.
