I love pizza and am going to try all of the pizza joints in my area. I will order a large cheese each time and will rate them by preference in this list. No non-regional chains allowed.

Best pizza I've ever had. Had to wait an hour to get a table but it was worth it, loved the vibe of the original North End location. I was skeptical because these are all over mall food courts now, but this was different. I wouldn't even consider this location part of the restaurant chain, it was not mass produced feeling at all. I was also surprise how friendly the wait staff was on account of being pushed around by rude angry tourist all day. I wouldn't be able to take it.
Regional chain but good. Thin, flavorful, chewy crust and notable sauce, better quality ingredients than usual. The large is bigger than usual too - it's probably 18 - 20 inches instead of the standard 16. Only negative is that the pizza is kind of expensive here.
The other major pizza place in the North End. The crust is bready and the sauce is sweet. They use cornmeal on the bottom to keep the crust from sticking, which adds a notable flavor and texture. When you walk in you choose a slice from a variety of pre-made pizzas in the case, then they take 1/4 of a giant large pizza and crisp it up in the oven for you. So a slice is really two slices. Best deal ever.
Thick Sicilian style pizza located in a commercially area in Newton. The sauce is really sweet and the pizzas are rectangular. They make a bunch of healthyish pizzas with grilled vegetables and have wheat crust available. The staff is super nice and they love talking about their pizza. Much more filling than regular hand tossed pizza.
7. West Napoli Pizza, West Roxbury MA
Great deal, a large cheese was only $9.35. Pretty good, crispy on the bottom. Kinda greasy but hey, it's a cheese pizza. It's supposed to be greasy.
A good deal if ordering for a crowd because the large pizza is big - probably 20 inches or so. If you order by the slice it's pretty greasy and sometimes undercooked, but the crust is good and it's pretty close to a north end style slice. Not bad, the specialty flavors are better tasting than the plain cheese. I recommend the chicken ranch - it's their thing.
I tried the hand tossed and it was ok. It was a little bit soggy and chewy. I need to try their Sicilian pizza, it's really what they're known for.
10. Riverside Pizza, Dedham Ma
Pre-made pizza shells with a overly sweet sauce. Some people really like this type of crust, but I'm not really a fan. Kind of like eating cheese and sauce in a pie shell. Some people love it, some people hate it.
