  • 1. Surf Fishing

If you love to fish then the best place to fish is right on the beach. I started fishing down at Myrtle beach when I was 8 years of age. Since then I was hooked. The best time to go down depends on what you want to catch. I usally go down in September to catch BLUE's. I use mullet bait which I catch via a casting net. The best resource is to ask the fisher men that are there. Off the surf I've caught many Big bluefish, Big flounders, Weak fish, Pesky spots, Flying fish, Dog Fish, Ocean Trout, Sand Sharks,Sting Rays and small Black tip Sharks. Its always an adventure because you never know what you are going to pull out the ocean. The biggest thing I've caught on the beach was a 5 1/2 foot black tip shark. They really catch them in early to mid May.

  • 2. Dirty Don's Oyster Bar & Grill
Dirty Don's Oyster Bar & Grill, Myrtle Beach

This place is awesome for lunch. You can't get any better burgers at the beach. Great place a must every time I am at the beach.

  • 3. Original Benjamin's Calabash
    Original Benjamin's Calabash, Myrtle Beach

I love their food. All you can eat and trust me every kind of seafood you can think of is there. Yes it is pricy but the food is awesome and there is so much of it. I would highly recommend.

  • 4. Broadway at the Beach
Broadway at the Beach, Myrtle Beach

Great place to shop... I rated this one higher then Barefoot but both are great places to shop. Also would check the outlet stores. The ones on Hwy 501 are better.

  • 5. Kirks ice cream parlor

Best Icecream on the beach... Serve hard ice cream in waffle cones. Many flavors.

  • 6. Maze Mania
Maze Mania & Arcade, Garden City Beach

Not many people know about this place. It is pretty fun experience being in a giant maze. The price isn't to bad. You can also watch on a padio at the top to laugh at people who are lost.

  • 7. Harry's Breakfast Pancakes
    Harry's Breakfast Pancakes, Myrtle Beach

Always have breakfest here every year. Its a small cheap dinner for a good meal. Owner is really nice and service is good I recommend.

  • 8. The Filling Station

I have very fond memories of this place when it was in a much smaller building. I have not been as Impressed lately with the filling station. My grandparents however love the place. They love the all you can eat pizza and soup. To me its more like a gloified CiCi's....

  • 9. Capt. Dicks Fishing Vs Dolphin Tour
    http://www.captdicks.com/

First I am a very avid fisherman. I have done many fishing trips all over the states. I was expecting this fishing trip to be fun and exciting. It was 2 hours of riding for about 1 hour of fishing. Not worth the money I was really dissapointed. The crew was very amaturish and some what rude to newbies on the boat. However Capt Dicks has multiple services one being the dolphin cruize. My girlfriend begged me to do that so I went along. Suprisingly that was actually fun being on a tiny boat made the trip exciting. I would recommend that at Capt Dicks.
