Traveling to South Africa for 2 weeks with a goal to see lots of animals/natural wonders, Cape Town, Plettenburg Bay and the winelands. This is our top ten.
This is a magical Bed and Breakfast with breathtaking views of the city! Great location and EVEN BETTER hospitality! I would highly recommend staying here if your trip takes you to Cape Town!
We had an amazing dinner and were personally greeted at our table by the owners. The seafood was outstanding! If you're in Cape Town, you must try this restaurant!
After a few days in Cape Town, we traveled to this great town of Plettenberg Bay. It was there that I saw some of the most amazing sunrises of my life. The owners of Anlin Beach House were extremely nice and hospitable. Breakfast every morning was amazing and fresh... it definitely filled us up for the day. Accommodations were modern and cozy.
This place stays busy, try to get a reservation if you can. Great food!
AMAZING GOLF COURSE! (and spa). I spent time at the spa while my husband golfed. There are some amazing views and the grounds are beautifully maintained!
This is the first safari I've been on so I don't know how it compares to others. I had a very enjoyable time. Great good, great guides and a nice relaxed environment. We saw something new on safari every day (3 days/2 nights). We flew from Joberg to Hoedsprut and then by hired car to the camp.
We saw many many penguins perched atop huge boulders. It was a pretty magical experience. It's a quick stop off the road if you're traveling down the east side of the Cape.
We took the cable way up and only spent about an hour at the top but it was definitely a must-see. Great views all around. Don't go on a cloudy day.
We didn't get to taste any wines here because we arrived as they were closing (I'm sure they would have been great), but this winery had some really spectacular views and the path you take towards the main entrance is planked by two rather large boulders. It was a memorable stop along the wine route that day!
Tapas style food.
